Planetary transits is a well known astrological term describing when planets cross each other within the signs of the astrological zodiac.  These are naturally very common.  The fast-moving Moon, for example, will transit all the other visible planets once each lunar month.  The word transit means to cross.  As a planet moves toward another planet in today's sky, they reach the same space calculated only on the east/west axis.  Astrologers label this result conjunction.

However, the astrological zodiac does not differentiate between conjunctions and those that are also measured on the north/south axis of the planet being transited.  This additional directional measurement is called declination.  Declination, then, is the north/south distance between planets when they conjoin each other using the east/west axis. 

If planets are astrologically conjunct with zero declination, they hit the archery target's bulls eye. 

Here's a beautiful picture of the Moon and Jupiter transiting -- moving toward east/west astrological conjunction.  You can see they are very near to exact conjunction.  However, when measured on the north/south axis, Jupiter is higher in the sky than the Moon.  So, when they reach exact east/west conjunction, Jupiter and the Moon will still be separated -- Jupiter above the Moon.  Again, the measurement of this distance between them is their declination.

You now understand an exact astrological conjunction with no declination results in one planet crossing the disk of another planet.   That is, they are in the same space using both the east/west and north/south axes.  That's what everyone is talking about today with Mercury transiting the Sun.  It's very unusual and very dramatic to see the small dot of Mercury trasting the Sun's vast disk.

Astronomers of course, love this kind of thing, for seeing real action in the heavens between the planets is quite dramatic. And these type of events provide wonderful opportunities for observational science.

Astrologers, however, don't much care about declination -- if at all.  Whether a planet is conjunct on the eas/west and north/south axes, doesn't change the nature or intensity of the conjunction.  Well, that's usually the case, but when an astrological conjunction without declination occurs, as Mercury is doing today with the Sun, they will make some noises about how the declination measurement, which doesn't matter, well, it actually does!

Part of this issue is the difficulty in separating the karmas (influences) of the planets being close together in the east/west axis and also in the north/south axis -- especially since the other planets are also in action.  Another quality here relates to Vedic Astrology being Indian, for the eastern mind is capable of holding two opposing things to both be true.  (Maybe that's why Trump's lies actually make him so popular there!)  On the other hand, Indians will tell you that spirituality can only be a search for truth, and their holding opposing views on a subject is truly expanding the truth.

Who knows?

Let's see what happens in the next day or two.  As stated above, the other planets are also in action, which has brought this tumultuous time.  Now, even minor planet karmas that are unnoticed, like this exact conjunction, become actuators of serious and meaningful actions.

Mercury retrograde is common in occurring three times a year.  Due to this frequency, major effects/consequences are usually not ascribed to the planet of communications.  Also mitigating are the affliction being just three weeks and only applying one planet.

However, Mercury's the sign(s) location and what's going on in the world (as also shown in the planetary zodiac) naturally also impact.  Stating this another way, if Mercury is badly placed in retrograde, then the real world situation as shown by the symbolic zodiac becomes more difficult -- challenging.  In turn, the afflicted zodiac worsen's Mercury's retrograde.

It appears this is the case for the current Mercury retrograde, which began October 31 and will end November 20.

Beyond that affliction, Mercury became tied up with the hot Sun in mid November with Mercury's transit across the Sun's disk -- see November 11 Mercury Transit Across The Sun.  There didn't appear to be a major event tied to this exact north/south and east/west transit, but caution was given this was not assured.  Further, although the Mercury/Sun conjunction in Libra is the Sun's fallen (weak) sign, where his regal dignity is degraded to ignobility -- dishonorable.  Doesn't this sound like the October 20 Time Out, that repeated this prediction,

With the world in turmoil in many ways, and the symbolic zodiac mirroring that energy, this Mercury retrograde feels more difficult -- or at least certainly causes confusions due to mix ups and overloads.

Perhaps the key question here is whether pressures on Trump's mind will put him over the edge.  The Saturn/Ketu pressure on Trump's fifth house of the mind continues.  Rahu is still attacking his birth chart Mercury.  And finally, his retrograde transit Mercury is afflicted as described above.  Certainly the impeachment hearings have added pressure here.  It seems impossible for this man to withstand the ongoing and crushing pressure.

I don't see a leadership break coming up in the U.S. chart, but that likely doesn't mean much.  When the final straw bundles are being loaded on the camel's back, he tends to stiffen up against the weight before collapsing.

It's probably best to keep your head down and chop enough wood to keep the stove going for a long and bitter winter season.

As the November 15 Grinding Through Mercury Retrograde explained, With the world in turmoil in many ways, and the symbolic zodiac mirroring that energy, this Mercury retrograde feels more difficult -- or at least certainly causes confusions due to mix ups and overloads.

Mercury completed its three week retrograde Wednesday November 20 -- right in the middle of the House of Representatives' second and final week of testimonies on the impeachment case.  Mercury's turn to forward came in the early afternoon.  Suddenly the light of truth and understanding began to peak through the gloom of Ukraine lies and coverups.  Chairman of the Intelligence Committee, Adam Schiff, said simply in his Wednesday's closing statement late that day, They got caught.

The impeachment situation was not resolved then, for Trump and his allies continued, and still do, the assault on truth for purely political motives -- to stoke again American's fear, hate and racism.  But, the truth was finally out.

This situation naturally doesn't sit well with most folks.  Holding a yard sale this past weekend, I noticed shoppers' moods were subdued, actually overly calm and polite.  Everyone was being on their best behavior, even the hard right Trumpers who dominate Venice, FL.  The reason here is simple -- there's an emerging fear that Trump et al replaces the truth with lies.  Regardless of ones politics, or even worse -- greed -- the truth is indispensable for any society.  And the country is finally facing that issue head on.

As shown in the below transit chart for today, along with Mercury forward, the other planets have calmed too -- the first time, literally, this calendar year.  Yes, The Celestial Wheel wrote something positive about the planetary energies!  Notice especially that Jupiter, the great benefic, is in its own sign in Sagittarius, where it does well, especially for the U.S. chart.  There, Jupiter is in the first house of the self, both anchoring the chart and bringing Jupiter's wisdom and philosophy to society here.  And with compassionate Venus also in Sagittarius, there's a strong humanitarian interest.

For Trump, Jupiter is Sagittarius is a two-edged sword.  Being his fifth house of the mind and kingship, Jupiter's expansion makes him feel like a king, with the power and right to rule over others.  This influence can appear to be a positive, excepting that it brings overconfidence and also, that he's not royalty!  Trump keeps claiming he’s a king. The courts keep telling him he’s not.  Will he get himself in more trouble for overreaching?  Yes.  Will that impact the impeachment proceedings?  Yes.  Will Trump be harmed by the impeachment?  Yes.  Will he be tossed out of the White House?  Yes, and if not now, next November. The nation is tiring of the dangerous melodrama.

Transits November 26, 2019

This picture for Thanksgiving day shows Jupiter and Venus still close together.  Coming in is the crescent Moon, which since it's dim, will not wash out the brilliance of the Venus/Jupiter conjunction.

With almost a week before the Thanksgiving holiday ends, it's a wonderful time for absorbing current events and integrating them into our individual and collective consciousness.

In closing, readers know well The Celestial Wheel has promoted for many years now the concept the U.S. experiences three consecutive planetary cycles (Dasas) -- Moon, Mars and finally Rahu -- that bring a Gilded Age, followed by a major economic collapse and finally a Progressive Age.  That idea seems to be gaining ground, including within the ranks of Democratic candidates.  And Americans are increasingly ready to rebalance society to fairness and real equality, not just for a few. Follow The Money

There's been so much craziness with Trump, it's easy to forget the fundamental driver for this billionaire is money.  He's spent his entire life pursuing wealth -- at all costs to others, even to himself.

This makes Vedic-chart sense because he has five potent wealth planets.  Below is his square Vedic birth chart for reference.  First, however, here are those planets with descriptors describing their effects.  (There are also some interesting tidbits about his chart.)

     His Jupiter Ju) is tremendous.  First, this planet of wealth it is stationary in his chart -- a signification which trumps everything else.  Second, Jupiter rules his fifth house of investments.  Third, Jupiter aspects his eighth house of other people's money.  Fourth, Jupiter itself is placed in the second house of income.  Descriptor -- wealth.

     Mars (Ma) is the planet of landed property.  He is extremely powerful in Trump's first house of the self.  Mars is also the planet of agriculturalists.  That's why when Trump ran his seven year Mars Dasa (planetary cycle) from late 1991 to 1998, he abandoned his failed casino and tower property business for collecting golf courses.  Golf course resorts are not as profitable as high rise urban condominiums and hotels but they fit his Mars Dasa.  Descriptor -- landed property.

     Mercury (Me) is the third wealth indicator in this chart.  Ruling the second house of income and eleventh house of friends and side gains, plus being placed in the eleventh, Mercury is a potent wealth accumulator, especially from friends and many sources.  Descriptor -- friends' money.

     Sun (Su) rules his ascendant (self) and is powerfully placed in the tenth house of career and the public -- kingship).  The Sun's yellow color, plus an aspect from yellow Jupiter, supports wealth, especially anything gold.  Descriptor -- public wealth.

     Rahu (Ra), the head-of-the-dragon eclipse point, is also strong in the tenth house.  Rahu is foreigners.  With the governing g Sun, the descriptor here is foreign govenment.

To see how the Astrocartography lines match up with Trump's wealth, or lack thereof, first, here's a global map of  Trump properties -- following by his Astrocartography maps.

Astrocartography is a useful tool plotting where the planets are strongest geographically.  It adds space to Vedic Astrology's time.  Note that the quality of their influences is not increased, nor enhanced.  Where the Astrocartography planetary lines fall show where the various planets' energies are strongest.  Below is Trump's world Astrocartography map followed by an enlarged map of the intense Europe/Mideast area.  Included are translations of the planetary glyphs.

The analysis here is from the left to right -- west to east.  Note that each planet has four lines.  It's pretty amazing how these mapped planetary energies fit with Trump's properties.

A Mars landed property line goes right through Hawaii.  There's a Trump hotel on Honolulu.

On the U.S. West Coast, Trump has four properties.  Saturn and Venus lines indicate debts/losses, not wealth, though a Jupiter wealth line is nearby which balances.  He's had problems in that area.  A proposed product in Baja failed.

Another Mars landed property line runs the U.S. East Coast - where his greatest concentration of properties exists.  This line extends to Uruguay, where he has a property.

There's a repeat of the Saturn, Venus and Jupiter lines through Scotland and Ireland, where he has three properties -- with the same debts/losses result as the West Coast U.S.

A third Mars landed property line is close to Istanbul (Turkey).  Trump has two towers there. That line is also fairly close to Ukraine, giving some energy to that country but no property so far.

Sun public wealth and Rahu foreign government lines run close to two properties in Azerbaijan and Dubai.  These are related to the governments there.

Jupiter wealth and Mercury friends' money lines go right through India, where Trump has multiple properties.  These can be very successful.

Another Saturn/Venus combination runs through Bangladesh and north into China ad Siberia.  There are no Trump properties in the area, reflecting the negative energy of Saturn/Venus without Jupiter wealth.

Next, the fourth Mars landed property line runs through the Far East.  Trump has properties in the Philippines and Indonesia.  Provocatively, he has nothing in China or North Korea -- though he would like to -- which is why he made friends with those dictators.

There are four wealth lines going through Japan and the Australian New Zealand areas. Again, he would like properties in these areas and thereby also coddles their leaders their leaders.

Other planetary lines are in the open sea or uninhabited areas.

What is missing  here, of course, are any planetary lines in Russia -- a focus for development for decades and run by his great friend Putin.  In fact, Russia is the largest area where Trump has no lines. This explains why he never got a Trump tower out of the ground in Moscow.  Yet, Trump has brought in plenty of Russia money to fund his U.S.  properties since his casino debacle a quarter century ago.

This suggests that the Russians have been keeping Trump afloat for decades.  Until his taxes are revealed, investigating further these Russian investments can reveal ay dirty deeds there. And there should be plenty.

PS What About Greenland?

It was only a couple of months ago Trump proposed buying Greenland. This Trump Astrocartography analysis examined most of the 32 planetary lines -- but not all, because Other planetary lines are in the open sea or uninhabited areas.

This is not absolutely correct, for the analysis focuses upon the most potent planetary lines on the globe's nearly 200 countries on 6 continents. Considering all locations on, or close to, the 32 planetary lines would result in a very lengthy analysis that wouldn't add much, if anything, to meaning, results and conclusions.   Related is the mixes of energies from multiple planetary lines in the same areas and the orb (distance from lines) determines their influence.  Further, because Astrocartography is only a celestial energetic, it does not reflect the multitude of factors impacting civilizations -- climate, geography, history, culture, economy, government... across the globe.  Also not considered is whether the properties are owned or just license the Trump name, with the former being major investments and the latter requiring no Trump money at all.

However, the Astrocartography tool does reveal its lines match up with Trump's properties, and the lack of planetary lines matches up with Trump not having properties and thereby the valuable conclusions,

Anyway, Greenland, the recent shiny object that caught Trump's attention, does have lines for the Sun public wealth and Rahu foreign government.  There's also a Mercury friends' money line on the eastern coast. (But the west coast holds the cities.)  These qualities fit with Trump asking to buy Greenland from the Danish government -- even as Greenland is an autonomous territory within the Kingdom of Denmark.
