With Rahu's fury on the U.S. Jupiter and Trump's Mercury, we tend to forget the long enduring and tight conjunction of Saturn with fiery Ketu.  Recall, Ketu is the mystical dissolving tail-of-the-dragon eclipse point.  It's boundless energy is antithetical to Saturn's form and structure significations.

Saturn is also chronic illness, as witnessed by the September 19 God Is Bowling -- Again,

Well, Saturn finally got me too -- with an upper respiratory infection and consequent cardiac stress -- literally all summer and peaking now.

Fortunately, Saturn, now moving forward, is getting away from weird Ketu, which means the illness karma both abates and becomes treatable.  I'll compose and publish new forecasting as my strength and mental focus return. Thanks in advance for your patience.

This is afflicted Saturn's influence on a personal level.  In the world, it continues to devise great plans which then fall into ruin. That karma applies to the entire globe and particularly to the U.S. self and Trump's mind.  It is in addition to Rahu's harms.

In the meantime you can rely on the September 28 Rahu Is Rampaging.  Keep in mind this is a dynamic, not static, situation in which events are unanticipated and uncontrollable.  And the energies continue to build until November 12.

Note that Saturn and Rahu are the worst malefics, and when both are in action, tremendous consequences result.  That is the case now.  Both the country and Trump are in dire straits now, and the situation can only become more challenging through this month and into November.  Don't forget to keep your eye on storms and the economy. Both are stirring up again.

The October 11 The Rapture Approaches* quoted a Federal judge overseeing one of the many lawsuits against Trump,

(*This was tongue-in-cheek-- if you didn't pick that up earlier.)

New scandalous events come out of the blue, many of which are moving targets.  Then, Trump's blathering, much of which is incoherent, fogs, rather than clarifies.  Plus, as explained below, the primary planetary energy impacting the globe is the mysterious eclipse points -- which themselves are hard-to-understand Eastern symbols.

Reading back to recent Celestial Wheel entries, even these appear disjointed, or at least unclear.  And since I've been writing these world events forecasts since 1982, one would think I've learned to be clear and not confuse myself, nor overwhelm rational minds.

With the relative lull that happens over weekends, let's have a time out.  After all, tomorrow morning will certainly bring more unforeseen and abrupt changes in current issues -- perhaps even new ones!

No, not that time out -- though some other bushy haired folks deserve that!  This one,

The current situation has the mysterious eclipse points Rahu and Ketu intensifying karma (influence), most notably upon the Vedic charts for the U.S. and Trump.  Here are some Vedic qualities of that cold blooded serpent energy,

     It is dynamic, not static.  Nothing is holding still.  Everything is in flux.

     Events are unanticipated and uncontrollable.

     These abrupt events bring similarly unforeseen consequences that often seem unreal, or illogical.  What's up is down, and what's down is up -- right Alice?

     And here's a principle about economics that extends to other Rahu/Ketu inspired events, especially now, Things take longer to happen than you think they will, and then they happen faster than you thought they could.

     This Rahu's 18 year Dasa (planetary cycle) in the U.S. chart -- the destroyer of today and creator of tomorrow -- blows up established groups and policies favoring the rich to bring a Second Progressive Age that rebalances shared democratic values for the rest of us.  Thus chaos rules, which eerily matches Trump's modus operandi.  (It's illustrative of the dragon's head Rahu and tail Ketu bizarre energies that they bring the elitist Trump to set the stage to resurrect the common man's democratic values.

Here's a great example of the above energy repeating from over a decade ago -- from the August 18, 2008 The Challenging Summer Of 2008, when Rahu/Ketu were also very active,

With the the Ukraine skullduggery and Hurricane Dorian, don't Trump's shenanigans indicate a confidence collapse is imminent?

Thus, we could add here another Vedic truth that applies especially well to Rahu/Ketu, History repeats, but not exactly.

Transits October 10, 2019

You can overlay the transit chart on these, or truly any, birth charts to see the effects of planets in today's skies shining on charts of people, nations.....

For the U.S., stolid Saturn with dissolving Ketu in Sagittarius is the first house of the self.  This gives great energy to the U.S. identity which then fractures into pieces that can rejoin into a new self knowledge.  Rahu in Gemini is reigning fire on the seventh house of relationships and the social nature.  This is the other, all relationships and how the U.S. relates to others.  You can even see the Democratic and Republican parties being split apart in order to reform again, in a reforming way.  Progressive issues are coming forward.

As for Trump, the Saturn/Ketu conjunction in Sagittarius , which brings great plans that crash, is on his fifth house of the mind.   Crash is a good descriptor here.  Rahu is at 17:16 degrees in Gemini.  As Rahu/Ketu move backwards, Rahu is approaching Trump's mental Mercury at 15:45 degrees.  With both the house and the planet of the mind afflicted, Trump's mind is badly harmed -- especially his Mercury, which influence grows as Rahu approaches.  Fear of being attacked, paranoia and delusion are primary effects. Trump's reputation is also being hammered.

For both charts, because Rahu is foreigners, issues inevitably involve international relations.

We can see how these karmas have played out in Ukraine and Syria and Trump's impeachment.  You can see how weird the energy is in Trump choosing The Doral for the G7 meeting, then only to cancel that a few days later.

There will be much more to come during the rest of October and early November.  Certainly specific predictions for events are nigh impossible given Rahu/Ketu being the actuators, but the general trends of disruptions and resulting chaos are undeniable.  While we all hope nothing terrible happens, keep in mind that the Syria issue is Trump's first major international challenge since his presidency began.  All the other high jinks have been more dramatic TV reality than consequential.  And because he created it, he's gonna have to fix it.

In two days Mercury will do another of its triennial three week retrogrades -- October 31 in the morning through early afternoon November 20.  (Specific times are included because Mercury is so sensitizing, we can often feel these direction shifts in its nervous energy signification.)

That's right, retrograde communications foul ups and failures begin as the spirits soar through the ether -- as though we haven't had enough bizarre stuff happening already!

Below is a transit chart -- where the planets are in current skies -- for today.  Mercury is in Scorpio, and its retrograde will take it back into Libra.  Even as Scorpio is treacherous for Mercury (or truly any planet), the retrograde shift from Scorpio to Libra will be similarly discombobulating.  The period when Mercury is in Scorpio and then passes through the sign edge to Libra is October 31 through November 8.

Further below are the Vedic charts for the U.S. and Trump.  Overlaying the transit chart upon birth charts, which The Celestial Wheel has done recently -- shows easily and clearly where the temporary but often impactive planetary influences from the heavens hit.

Transits October 29, 2019

For the U.S. chart, this Mercury retrograde begins in Scorpio in the twelfth house of loss -- which must bring that quality.  Mercury is a relationship, government employee and business planet for this chart -- hints of where communications issues will be.  The shift into Libra in the eleventh house of groups and gains is naturally negative for Mercury retrograde -- another chink in the economic armor.

For Trump, Mercury in Scorpio is his fourth house of the emotions -- upsetting those.  But then even the losing contestant on a TV game show would choose that answer!  There will be a lot of mind changing when Mercury retrogrades back into Libra, the third house of desires.  Don't be surprised if Trump confuses even himself with shifting positions that strain credulity.

The And More ending part of this entry's title refers to transit Mars.  Notice he's at 22:44 degrees.  Now overlay that chart upon the U.S. chart to see the planet of war is getting close to Saturn, the planet of loss and suffering at 24:04 degrees.  This week is when that energy peaks.  Being the tenth house of government officials, and Saturn symbolizing those in this chart, expect furious fireworks this week as witnesses and other impeachment events come into the public light.

In closing, don't forget that Rahu continues to close in on the U.S. Jupiter and Trump's Mercury.  Rahu on Jupiter can bring a manifold of effects, but just considering Jupiter's higher mind, Rahu's reptilian cravings nature results in conflict.  Also, s Jupiter is the primary planet of wealth, it's another signal the buoyant economy must yield to reality soon.

As for Trump, Rahu on Mercury not only brings paranoia, but it also adds to the craziness of Mercury retrograde.

It's nigh impossible to understand how that man can continue to take the cascades of stress that hit him, and then go out and double-down with really obvious departures from reality.

Using the old rock and a hard place saying, well at some point one or the other must shatter.
