Hurricane Coming
Everyone knows Hurricane Arthur is headed up the East Coast of the U.S. -- toward first landfall at the North Carolina Outer Banks during the night tonight.
I lived there in 1992 and can attest the over 100 miles of barrier islands are vulnerable. There's a huge bay on the east, which can bring a second flooding. Sometimes entire stretches are completely over washed for a period of hours.
The U.S. chart is obviously sensitive now. The peak peak for harm will be July 5 early afternoon. Following that peak, destructions will tend to continue until mid morning on Tuesday, July 8.
Much of this energy results from destructive Mars' finishing his long stay in Virgo, which ends July 14. Recall the areas listed in the June 26 direct email Vedic Leaks, now posted to the web,
Government
Earth Crust Events
Violences And Storms
Economic losses
Disease
Aeronautics
Remember, while transits impact globally and are thereby especially useful for world event forecasting, that energy also impacts you personally. Because the perceptional Moon is the key timing indicator during the next several days, the emotions can churn like Hurricane Arthur.
However, also keep in mind, this is a temporary planetary karma. By Tuesday, Mercury will be strong again, joining its benefic associates Venus and Jupiter in strength. So, after the literal and figurative debris is cleaned up, you can begin to improve your situation.
Finally, don't forget July 13 is another sensitive date, as Mars then crosses Rahu. That will truly be his last hurrah, for at least a while.

Mars' Multiple Hurricanes
As discussed several times, and most recently in the (above) July 3 VedicLeaks, Hurricane Coming, Mars is on the rampage, "Much of this energy results from destructive Mars' finishing his long stay in Virgo, which ends July 14"
Hurricane Coming, predicted "The peak peak for harm will be July 5 early afternoon. Following that peak, destructions will tend to continue until mid morning on Tuesday, July 8."
But, Hurricane Arthur began June 30 and fizzled out July 5.
There was another hurricane, though, Douglas in the eastern Pacific. This storm began June 28 and finished July 5. There certainly wasn't a peak there either.
And there is yet a third tropical howler! Super Typhoon Neoguri became a tropical storm Friday, July 3. I didn't even know about this storm when composing Hurricane Coming that same day.
Accuweather's today report, Neoguri Becomes a Super Typhoon, Targets Japan , stated "Okinawa will likely see the worst impact from the storm late Monday night through Tuesday... Westernmost parts of Okinawa, home to the United States' Kadena Air Force Base, will be at greatest risk for the strongest and most devastating winds."
That a major U.S. military base is in the cross hairs certainly fits with the Hurricane Coming Vedicleaks, which stated, "The U.S. chart is obviously sensitive now."
But what about Japan? Neoguri Becomes a Super Typhoon, Targets Japan forecasts the storm will begin affecting Japan Wednesday, July 9.
Japan's Vedic chart has been running a dangerous, and highly toxic 18 year Rahu Dasa since February 2010. (Rahu closely conjoins the Moon, a double indicator for this home in this chart.) The March 11, 2011 Fukushima tsunami occurred when it's Dasas (planetary cycles) were a terrible Rahu/Rahu/Saturn/Moon. Transits were naturally bad then as well.
Currently, Japans' chart, although still running Rahu as its primary Dasa planet, has protective Jupiter as it's minor (modifying) Dasa planet -- and Jupiter is transiting the fourth house of the home. It seems, then, that the typhoon will not bring much damage. It could track away from Japan and/or lose intensity.
Another factor is that by Wednesday, all three benefic planets -- Jupiter, Venus and Mercury -- will be strong in favorable signs, which combine to bring an overall positive karma to any and all charts. Obviously, then, Japan escaping this typhoon without too much damage will be an excellent omen for us all.
With three hurricanes, the July 3 VedicLeaks entry , Hurricane Coming, was prescient. This is reminiscent of the August 3, 2013 Hurricane Forecast 2013, which did hit some U.S. storms. Mexico, though suffered much more. This prediction was truly on target for typhoons. These six major typhoons was a record: Usagi, Pabuk, Fito, Nari, Phaalin, Hayain. One, Phallin, was in the Indian Ocean, and thereby called a cyclone. |

Evolution
Hurricane Neuguri Dissipates
The above July 7 VedicLeaks entry suggested Typhoon Neoguri's impact upon Japan, "...will not bring much damage. It could track away from Japan and/or lose intensity." That result has indeed happened. Neoguri became a tropical storm on Wednesday -- only flooding, power outages and minor damages.
Again, the Vedic reasoning is the balance shift to benefic from malefic,
Another factor is that by Wednesday, all three benefic planets -- Jupiter, Venus and Mercury -- will be strong in favorable signs, which combine to bring an overall positive karma to any and all charts. Obviously, then, Japan escaping this typhoon without too much damage will be an excellent omen for us all. |
I added the following to the July 7 entry,
With three hurricanes, the July 3 VedicLeaks entry, Hurricane Coming, was prescient. |
Vedic Astrology is a science, but it is also an art. Yet, it is also true, Inspiration only comes to the prepared mind. Astrologers have to work hard, digging deeply into the planetary karmas to find information, and then divine which is correct. Psychics have an easier time, but they see only small slices of the heavens, not the panorama. And they too put all their energy into their work. In other words, there is no such thing as manifestation.
But Mars Still Rampages
Still, Mars continues to rampage until he leaves Virgo July 14. And don't forget that just before he makes that sign shift, Mars crashes into Rahu July 13. As Mars is destructions, and Rahu the intensifying head-of-the-dragon eclipse point, major violences are indicated then.
We can see Mars' destructions continuing. For the U.S., which chart remains sensitive: this past weekend, Gun violence mars July 4th weekend in Chicago, Monday, Six Flags roller coaster car derails. Tuesday, Damaging Northeast Storms Kill Five Including Young Camper.
In Spain, people were gored at the Pamplona bull festival.
The big news, however, is the Hamas rocket barrage into Israel, Israel PM Says Gaza Offensive to Intensify as Rockets Fly. Unlike the Japan's Vedic chart (protected by Jupiter), Israel's Vedic chart is Libra rising (first house), which makes Mars' Virgo position the twelfth house of loss. Plus, Israel's Dasas aren't supportive now. Of course, the entire Mideast continues to churn, especially Iraq and Syria.
Evolution
Direct email Celestial Wheels has evolved into the preferred format. In this transformational age, there's naturally impatience, but also less time and attention available to devote to long and involved forecasting. Further, this fits with the U.S. chart's continuing Mars Dasa. Mars, the planet of desire, is always impatient. It also congruent with the November 2009 In-depth Forecast, What Happened To Clovis Culture? When the mega fauna died out, the large/heavy Clovis Point was replaced by the lighter/faster Folsom Point.
With this better hunting point for the environment, used in spears and arrows, mankind invented agriculture, with its attendant domestication of animals. Thus began the march of civilization in North America. The dawn of time was rising. |
So too, The Celestial Wheel has to transform itself into a lighter/faster communications delivery system. With continuing declines in Paid Participations, change is imperative.
There is, however, the threat of losing ourselves in the day-to-day struggle to survive. If we allow the material world to sweep aside our spiritual selves, then we forget who we truly are. In that regard, read this wonderful CNN article, Indian Awakenings, How a holy place and its people helped a Western woman find wholeness.
A companion article, The new American dream: Searching for spirituality, suggests the ongoing strife of the Millennium Contraction is stimulating a return to spirituality. The dawn of a new time is rising. Don't miss it!
And remember, The Celestial Wheel is a continuing story -- about the evolution of society. |

New Celestial Wheel Design
The Celestial Wheel home page is redesigned. The above July 10 entry announced this intention, "So too, The Celestial Wheel has to transform itself into a lighter/faster communications delivery system. With continuing declines in Paid Participations, change is imperative."
New Celestial Wheel Participation Plan
When you visit the home page, you'll see the section, Participation Subscriptions, has combined the Access and Subscription choices into a single Subscription plan at the lower Access pricing. Those of you on the Access plan will benefit by receiving notices of all VedicLeaks and In-depth Forecasts. I'll contact those of you who have been Subscribers to recalculate your extended Subscription end date based upon the new and lower fee structure. Everyone thereby gains and no one loses.
Super Moon Tonight
Tonight there's a "supermoon, or a perigee moon, occurs when the moon turns full just as it hits the spot in its elliptical orbit when it is closest to the Earth, NASA says, a celestial coincidence that will make the orb appear 14 percent bigger and 30 percent brighter than an ordinary full moon." The Moon Puts On A Triple Super Summer Spectacle The zodiac location will be Capricorn, a little serious for being a Saturn ruled sign. But, the Moon is not afflicted -- so the energy is good for sound, practical activities, especially technical writing.
Rahu Leaving Libra
Rahu finally gets out of Libra tomorrow morning, July 13. So ends the long 18 month conjunction of malefics Saturn and Rahu that has caused turmoil in the Mideast. See, the August 9, 2013 Mideast Karma Peaking Again. I've previously suggested that fracking, in taking away the Mideast's oil dominance, is the big change. However, it appears the Syria and Iraq crisis is another major karma. But too, perhaps the violence in Israel/Palestine plays role. We'll have to wait awhile for the desert dust to settle to understand what's really happened in the Mideast.
Also interesting is that Rahu in Libra, which is a Venus ruled sign, with Venus being vehicles, brings advances in aeronautics. Certainly drones -- both military and civilian -- have become commonplace. Too, private space rockets have achieved major successes. BTW, this hearkens back to 1957, when Rahu was then transiting Libra. Then, the space race began.
Mars Crashes Into Rahu Tomorrow
As mentioned several times in VedicLeaks entries, Mars crashes into Rahu tomorrow, July 13. This signals a major violence -- or violences.
Mars Leaving Virgo
Mars finally gets out of Virgo on Monday, July 14. Thus ends his reign of terror there, which has been discussed many times. Let's hope Mars' illnesses, violences, major storms and drought all calm.
What Does This All Mean?
Well, first this means The Celestial Wheel has chosen new a path ahead to survive. With these direct emails VedicLeaks, an improved layout and the steep price decreases, this mundane forecasting publication is greatly improved. Tell your friends! Hey, $4 is less than a movie ticket, a glass of wine.. and about the same as a latte.
On a larger scale, a full Moon is the best time to launch an endeavor, because the Moon is the benefits in life. When the Moon is full, it's life benefits are thereby maximized. With malefics Rahu and Mars both changing signs, as well as colliding with each other, there's a tremendous energy surge and change for the better the next two days. This is obviously somewhat tumultuous, but then, remember, Only through turmoil comes change. (I almost accidentally chose today to launch the new Celestial Wheel.)
Finally, don't forget that all three benefic planets -- Venus, Mercury and Jupiter -- are all strong now in their own signs. Even when Venus leaves Taurus in two days, she will be strong in Gemini.
With malefics Mars and Rahu changing to much better sign positions -- where they can bring positives, not just negatives -- and the three benefics all strong, improve your situation and enjoy the summer as well.
So look up tonight at the super moon and be inspired to climb up, like in the astronomers/astrologers did in this ancient observatory in Jaipur, India. When a baby was born, they trudged up the curving stairs to see the planets and stars and map out the child's future.

The Benefic Planets Are Shining
VedicLeaks entries have repeatedly discussed the uncommon, actually truly unusual, favorable dispositions of the three major benefic planets through the summer. I don't know how long it's been since these three benefics have all been in good signs and not conjunct malefic planets -- a few years, at least. I spun the transit wheel using a monthly change-rate for a few minutes and didn't find any similar results.
Below a Vedic chart for today showing these dispositions.
As previously stated, Venus has left Taurus, it's own sign, but it does well in Gemini, ruled by Mercury, another benefic. Further, with Mercury also in Gemini, these two benefics reinforce each other. Although the Sun is also still in Gemini, it's heat doesn't burn these planets because they are too far away. Even when the Sun goes into Cancer to be close to Jupiter, not much solar combustion will result -- because the Sun does well in Cancer, and Jupiter is so strong for being exalted there.
Too, the Sun is not just heat, but also light, and he thereby illuminates planets with which he's conjoined. The Sun on Jupiter stimulates for a warm, comforting, enthusiastic leadership.
Beyond no malefics conjoining these benefics, these good planets don't receive any aspects from fiery Mars and only one from restrictive Saturn -- an aspect to Cancer. But note Saturn is still weakly retrograde, and his degree placement is far away from Jupiter. This weakened Saturn aspect truly isn't harmful and can actually give Jupiter some Saturnian structure and organization -- yielding tremendous power.
After Mercury and Venus finish in Gemini, they will go into Cancer, another sign ruled by a benefic, this time the Moon. Mercury will continue in Cancer until August 12, and Venus until the very end of August. This is why the rest of the summer through the entire month of August is truly wonderful planetary weather -- or as a scintillating Florida Celestial Wheel subscriber says, The Bomb.
The Moon is also a natural benefic, but she moves so fast -- a sign every 2 1/2 days -- she isn't useful for this type of longer term analysis. Still, one would expect that when the Moon joins the other benefics in these good signs of Gemini and Cancer, things get even better. They do!
The Moon will transit Gemini and Cancer with the all three benefics -- July 23 to 28. A month later, with Jupiter and Venus still in Cancer, the Moon will transit that sign August 22 to 24 These then, will be the best of the best days of summer. Remember, Those Lazy Hazy Crazy Days Of Summer Nat King Cole?
House numbers do make a difference of course. For example if your chart is Scorpio rising (First house of the self), then Gemini is the eighth, a harmful house, called a Dusthana. But, if you are Libra rising, Gemini is the ninth, a good house, called a Trine. Still, even if Gemini isn't a good sign/house for you, then Cancer would be -- because malefic houses never follow in sequence. So, following our Scorpio rising example, Cancer is the good ninth house. (This is somewhat simplified, for the 12 houses not all good or bad. Some are strong Kendras, spiritual Moksha, wealth producing Artha houses.... but the point using Dusthanas and Trines is valid to illustrate here.)
Beyond this, because the planets do so well in Gemini and Cancer, the house numbers aren't so harmful to them. And, these benefic planets enhance the significations of those houses. So, for Scorpio rising having Gemini as the eight house, that house's harms are not so bad; and its valued qualities, such as intuition, protection from accidents, being full of life....., are strengthened. People have accidents when malefics influence the eighth house, not benefics, which protect.
Yes, the economy remains crappy, and many of us are still going backward. Most people are struggling economically, physically, in their relationships..... And politics nationally and globally are messy, very nasty. But that doesn't mean we shouldn't enjoy the summer -- and also use this energy to improve our situations.
The key measure in personal evolution is how well we have detached from the challenging karmas in our live. Detachment preserves our equanimity, even in the face of tremendous stress. Losses and sufferings don't affect consciousness. Another measure of how far we've traveled in this incarnation, is the ability to enjoy the good things, despite stress. If you suffer, it is after all, your own lack of awareness that's the cause.
Besides, we all deserve some enjoyments, pleasures, relaxations.... It's been a long tough slog since the economy tumbled in September 2008.

Mars Has Caused Some Short Term Problems
This month's VedicLeaks entries have focused upon malefics Mars and Rahu changing signs (for the better) and the three benefic planets both strong. These two changes have tilted the planetary scales from stressful toward pleasant, potentially even blissful.
The above July 15, The Benefic Planets Are Shining, was solely about that title, for it seemed Mars and Rahu were finished causing problems. After all, they had both transited to good signs this past weekend and had their headlong violent crash into each other on July 13. While a major violence was predicted then, This signals a major violence -- or violences, the only happening of merit on Sunday was Israel sending troops into Gaza that morning. See the above July 12 entry.
However, that entry also stated, With malefics Rahu and Mars both changing signs, as well as colliding with each other, there's a tremendous energy surge... Living in Florida now, which has the most extreme weather, lightening is often attracted to electrical transformers -- large cylinders attached to light poles. These step-down high voltage to household current.
Lightening explodes these electrical tanks, creating a flash like ball lightning. Sometimes this can be dazzling, like fireworks,
In other instances, the strike can be frightening, showing how powerfully destructive and dangerous these are. I saw one once, like this, maybe 50 feet away. The blast shook the car I was driving and popped my ears.
This Mars/Rahu surge came on the heals of the tough 18 month Saturn/Rahu conjunction (victimizing), plus the built up stress of destructive Mars in Virgo since last November. Finally, as Mars entered Libra, he was initially frail at the edge of the sign. This weakness brought instability.
Everyone has thus been depleted by these malefics, then hit hard by the Mars/Rahu energy surge and lastly lacking needed Mars energy to recover.
Using a human analogy, you're finishing a marathon, an intense storm hits and you collapse. Then, nobody brings any water or energy bars to revive you. You are vulnerable. You can't get up to run, dodge, hide.... seeking safety. As Spock would monotone on Star Trek, "Captain. our shields are down. The Enterprise is defenseless."
That's what seems to have happened this week. In mundane astrology, it explains the escalated Mideast violences, U.S. political strife, even the Malaysian jet shot down yesterday.
On a personal level, there's been strife, extreme fatigue, fear and even extreme rage with depression following. That the promised bliss of Mercury, Venus and Jupiter shining so favorably on us all has been a sour disappointment, like biting into a rotten apple.
Well, Mars is now strong again. And as explained in the above July 15 The Benefic Planets Are Shining, some truly great days are just ahead. The Moon will transit Gemini and Cancer with the all three benefics -- July 23 to 28. As I used to tell my daughter when she was sad,

Benefic And Malefic
Everyone should have a basic understanding Vedic Astrology can be definitive because its essential nature is planets are either benefic or malefic -- good or bad. (Note: because planets rule houses, which have their own benefic and malefic values, the primary focus in Vedic Astrology is always on the planets.)
It's the study of these contrasts that yields concrete information. Consider, if the teacher used white chalk on a white board, the information would be invisible. But, as teachers use white chalk on blackboards, or colored chalk on white boards, information is revealed.
Malefic and benefic are, however, Eastern symbols, which do not translate perfectly to English and the western mind. The associations the Eastern mind makes are alien to the West -- and vice versa. Thus, good and bad are not completely descriptive, nor accurate. Even malefic and benefic fall short and wide of the target.
For example, Saturn, the great malefic, is the planet of contraction, which includes, limitation. But in that role, it is also organization and structure. People with weak Saturn's are thereby disorganized. Jupiter, the great benefic, is the planet of expansion, if too strong, can make the person excessive, or fat.
Plus, there can be unintended consequences. Again considering Saturn, if he's too strong, and thus overly responsible, the person will be honorable, successful and respected, but he'll never enjoy anything. Jupiter, if he's too strong, because he's the liver, a person can drink huge amounts of alcohol. But that can result in an alcoholic, which harm the rest of the body, which does not have Jupiter's protection.
Yet, still, and overall, the concept of good benefic and bad malefic is accurate enough to be useful.
While there are a myriad of ways to evaluate the planets, one is a simple gross measurement of the balance between benefic and malefic energies. That can be done for any birth chart -- person, nation, company.... -- or for transits -- where the planets are in today's skies.
Keep in mind that transits affect everywhere and, as such, are global planetary weather. For any birth chart, it's planetary cycles (Dasas) are the primary karma, analogous to our lifeboat on the river of life. Transits, thereby, are like weather events on your lifeboat. They are of secondary influence.
Yet, still again, just considering transits gives valuable information. Even if you are running bad Dasa planets, and are thus on a turbulent section of your river of life, these benefic transits bringing good weather must support you -- fill your sails with wind to carry you through the rapids.
The Celestial Wheel has been focusing on the unusually excellent transit positions of the 3 major benefics -- Jupiter, Venus and Mercury -- which continue through August. Further, the benefic Moon, while moving too fast to be included in an analysis covering several weeks, does contribute to the benefic energy -- when she transits the signs where the other benefics are favorably transiting. Thus, the above July 15 VedicLeaks, The Benefic Planets Are Shining, stated, The Moon will transit Gemini and Cancer with the all three benefics -- July 23 to 28.
Please pay attention to this and wring as much benefit as you can to improve your situation. Squeeze all the juice of opportunity out of the orange! Failing to achieve successes your desire, you can at least reduce your losses. Going back to the river analogy, if the current is simply too turbulent, use the fair winds to navigate to the shore -- to safety. After all, without this favorable planetary karma, your lifeboat would be stuck in a dangerous situation.
I'll also mention the malefic planets all made shifts mid July to better positions. Yet, the process of these changes resulted in an unpleasant energy surge. See the above July 18 VedicLeaks, Mars Has Caused Some Short Term Problems. This naturally masked the benefics' benefits.
Further, which I missed, Saturn changed from retrograde to forward motion last week -- which added to the harmful energy surge. While he switched directions July 20, because Saturn moves so slowly, this disruptive 180 degree turn began a week earlier and continued for the next few days. Hopefully, Saturn's punishing energy surge has ended, and it's solidly forward in Libra. That is Saturn's exultation sign, where his best significations come forward -- duty, responsibility, honor, humility... This positive change fits well with Mideast violence, for example. The news media is already reporting progress in the Israeli/Palestine conflict.

The Benefic Planets Shine On!
All the July VedicLeaks entries discussed the unusually favorable sign positions of the three benefic planets -- Mercury Venus and Jupiter.
Here's an update. The below chart is drawn for today -- a snapshot of where the transiting planets are placed.
The sole change since the (above) July 15 VedicLeaks is Mercury, the intellect, has joined wise Jupiter in Cancer. The hot Sun is well past both these mental planets now, allowing him to illuminate, not burn. This combination, then, is excellent for mental endeavors of all kinds -- especially ethical solutions to challenges and wringing the most out of opportunities.
Venus will shift into Cancer August 8, joining the other benefics.
While Mercury breaks this combination on August 13 by shifting into Leo, it will remain in this good sign until the end of August.
Thereby, the three benefics will Shine On through the summer.
And the malefic planets are generally well placed. Mars and Saturn are conjunct in Libra, but they aren't yet close enough to cause major harms.
So, how do we account for the continuing, even escalating, violence by Israel? The above-described good sign positions must influence positively on a global scale, but in some charts, they don't. During even the best growing season, a few farmers don't prosper.
This is Israel's transit wheel for today. The shaded area shows transit Mars crossing the AS (Ascendant), which signifies the self. Mars makes the Ascendant angry. It also shows transit Saturn very close to Ketu, the tail-of-the-dragon eclipse point. The energy goes the opposite way here. Dissolving Ketu makes an honorable and humble Saturn dishonorable and brazenly violent.
Plus, in an arcane weighting system called Ashtakavarga, the good ninth house (Gemini), where birth chart and transit Venus are posted, is very weak. This unstable house foundation does not support Venus' gentle nature -- diplomacy, cooperation, compassion, generosity and forgiveness. The opposite thereby results -- a hard-hearted, oppressive and selfish Venus. Retribution replaces forgiveness.
These three harms to Israel's chart have brought the violence to Gaza since July 8.
Hopefully, with Mars now past the Ascendant, Israel's horrific retribution will abate. Too, with the rest of the globe influenced so positively by the strong benefics, others are pressuring Israel to cease and desist. And aren't the benefic planets shining on Israel, an ongoing influence banishing the darkness of hate and violence with the light of love and peace.
We can see another oddity in the U.S. reaction against children crossing the border from war torn Central American countries. This results because Cancer, where Mercury, Jupiter and the Sun are transiting, is the eighth house of calamity. In that chart toxic Rahu is placed there. This stimulates paranoia. Hopefully this too will be resolved by the benefic planets shining on.
