The last time The Celestial Wheel took the planets' pulse was the November 26 Subdued,

Below is the transit chart for today. You can see Jupiter advancing in Sagittarius with Venus.   Recall this humanitarian and joyful combination was conjunct over Thanksgiving.  Since then, transit Venus has crossed dissolving Ketu and will next cross restrictive Saturn December 11.

This is naturally negative for Venus, since Ketu and Saturn are both malefic.  For Trump's chart, that is his fifth house of the mind and kingship -- destabilizing him further.  Also, With Trump now running Venus in his planetary cycles (Dasas) October 18 2019 to March 12, 2020, this transit Venus is more impactive.  In his birth chart, Venus is his career planet, and placed in the twelfth house of loss, it brings periodic and inevitable career downfalls.

So Trump is facing building travails with his birth chart Venus busting up career and transit Venus stressing the mind.  Watch for continued action in the impeachment hearings.  Notably, since the twelfth is the house of hidden enemies, don't be surprised when the impeachment process draws out of those.  Remember, he's got a bunch of friends/associates in hot water -- Roger Stone, Rudy Guliani, Mike Flynn... There is likely lots of behind-the-scenes legal maneuverings, for his Venus is with Saturn, the planet of disputes and losses in Trump's chart.

You can also see that Mercury has advanced into Scorpio, which makes him wily.  The Sun's presence there until mid month promotes fighting -- and much anger.  Scorpio is Trump's fourth house of emotions -- causing more outbursts.

With the thankfully relatively calm Thanksgiving holiday over, you're hopefully rested up and regrounded mentally to handle the again pumped up politics and consequent media circus.

Although nothing is certain in the impeachment process, it's inevitable there's much more action to come in this next week.

The December 5 What's Coming Up Now? explained,

That prediction has certainly come true -- highlighted by the article of impeachment announced and the Justice Department's Inspector General report on the FBI Russian investigation.  Venus's qualities of joy, creativity, humanity, compassion, love, relationship, women... are also constrained by Saturn -- although that combination can bring stability and responsibility as well. (Curiously, Saturn Venus also bringing sculpting as Venus is the arts and Saturn metals, wood and other hard materials.)

You can see the Venus/Saturn conjunction in the southwest sky shortly after sunset.

An unexpected annular solar eclipse comes December 26.  This is called a ring of fire eclipse because, although the Moon is directly in front of the Sun, it is smaller for being far away from the earth.  That results in the Moon not fully covering the Sun's disk. Thus, an annulus – or thin ring of sunshine – surrounds the new moon silhouette.  Although not quite as powerful as a total solar eclipse, annular eclipses still hold a solid punch as they eclipse -- block -- the Sun.

This eclipse will not be visible in the western hemisphere, though it will be in the east.

The eclipse will be at maximum just before midnight EST on December 25 -- Christmas Day.  The location is 10 degrees Sagittarius. Since astrological eclipse effects begin about two weeks before the actual astronomical event, the world is already being shadowed. Remember, if a planet in a chart is within two degrees of an eclipse, it will be eclipse blocked for up to six months.

In that regard, the July 2 total Solar Eclipse at 16:30 Gemini was only 3/4 a degree from Trump's Mercury.  The June 26, 2019 Mars In Cancer & Solar Eclipse explained,

The mind and reputation are primary qualities here.  Both have suffered badly since then, peaking to being impeached.  In addition, head-of-the-dragon Rahu's influence on Mercury makes him feel under attack -- paranoid. That causes Trump to puff himself up, like some animals do to scare off enemies. Here's an anteater and Trump doing exactly that,

That June entry also addressed the eclipse hitting the U.S. chart,

A good descriptor for Jupiter with Rahu is conflict.  Rahu's insatiable worldly desires and greed clash with Jupiter's higher mind and generosity.  Well, isn't impeachment an ultimate conflict for America?

At the solar eclipse last July, Rahu was at 23 degrees Gemini.  The, moving backward, as the eclipse points do, Rahu crossed Trump's 15:45 degrees Gemini Mercury and the U.S.'s 15:13 degrees Jupiter in early November.  But then Rahu slowed down, stopped and moved forward for a while (which is does from time to time) resulting in Rahu being now at 14:16 Gemini.  This means Rahu has continued to haunt and taunt Trump's mind and reputation making him paranoid and create conflict for the U.S.

Rahu won't begin his usual backwards motion until late January 2020.  So expect U.S. conflict and Trump having mental and reputation challenges, as well as paranoia, to continue for another 1 1/2 months.

Since neither Trump nor the U.S. have planets nearby the 10 degrees Sagittarius eclipse location, it's Rahu, not the December 26 eclipse, that influences the Trump and the U.S.

The eclipse can and will hit other locations, though not necessarily where the eclipse is visible.  As other nations and leaders have planets in the 10 degrees Sagittarius locale, that blocking energy will cause problems -- which can ricochet back to the U.S.   Finally, since Rahu is foreigners (especially dark skinned), there's a second influence for the eclipse from dark folks, rather than white.

Holiday Season Thoughts

Dear subscribers,
I just now sent the below to my full mailing list.  Perhaps these thoughts will help a little.

If I encounter one more person over these holidays I always knew to be kind and humane but truly a Trumpie, I may do something I regret:-)

Dear Friends,

As we struggle through the holiday season, worries wash over us in waves and hope for the future wanes.  It's not just the news, for we inevitably encounter more folks on both sides of the fence gripped by Trump derangement syndrome.  Disturbing is too mild a word.

And while It's also true that only through turmoil comes change, our world view and self understanding are challenged.  That's not fun, nor peaceful either!

Yet, as I've written many times, Ignorance is not bliss.  It's merely ignorance.  And with ignorance comes fear, which stimulates anger.  But with knowledge comes power and thereby the capability to face and deal with change without equanimity being lost.

Vedic Astrology is the eye of the Vedas, and the now strong Jupiter in Sagittarius is the dispeller of darkness.  Thusly, these two current forecasts can be helpful for the mind and soul to navigate through the holidays and into the next decade -- 2020. There's been so much craziness with Trump, it's easy to forget the fundamental driver for this billionaire is money. He's spent his entire life pursuing wealth -- at all costs to others, even to himself.

Venus/Saturn & Solar Eclipse
December 11

The December 5 prediction the Venus/Saturn con-junction causes Trump a career downfall came true.

An unexpected annular -- ring of fire -- solar eclipse happens December 26.  However, it was the July 2 total solar eclipse that hit Trump's Mercury and the U.S. Jupiter that signaled the impeachment.  Recall eclipse effects last up to 6 months.

That eclipse harmed Trump's mind and reputation, making him paranoid.  For the U.S., conflict resulted.  These karmas are potent until the end of January.

This current solar eclipse doesn't impact those charts but will for charts of nations and leaders abroad, which can ricochet to the U.S.

The December 5 What's Coming Up Now? noted that Venus, which is Trump's career planet, was closing in on loss-causing Saturn -- and exactly conjunct Saturn December 11.  That would harm Trump, Although nothing is certain in the impeachment process, it's inevitable there's much more action to come in this next week.

The December 11 Venus/Saturn & Solar Eclipse detailed how that prediction came true.  The articles of impeachment were announced December 10 and the Justice Department inspector General report on the Russian investigation published the day before with Horowitz's testimony in Congress two days later.

That entry also discussed the ...unexpected annular solar eclipse comes December 26.  This is called a ring of fire eclipse.   It was predicted nothing much would come from this eclipse because it did not hit any planets in the U.S. chart, nor Trump's chart. As other nations and leaders have planets in the 10 degrees Sagittarius locale, that blocking energy will cause problems -- which can ricochet back to the U.S.  That prediction has also been born out.   Yes, there were some serious accidents -- the December 28 bombing in Somalia killing 80 for example.  We'll have to see whether and how the second part of this prediction, events ricocheting back to the U.S., comes true.

However, the December 11 entry explained it was the July 2, 2019 total solar eclipse at 16:30 Gemini hitting Trump's Mercury, and the U.S. chart's Jupiter which truly and seriously impacted -- and eclipse effects can last 6 months.  For Trump this Rahu eclipse on Mercury harmed his mind, reputation and made him (even more) paranoid.  For the U.S., Jupiter being attacked by the dragon has caused conflict.

That entry continued by explaining that transit Rahu was located at 23 degrees Gemini on the July 2 eclipse date -- away from the 16:30 actual eclipse point.  The eclipse points (Rahu and Ketu) signify eclipses but aren't on the exact location of eclipses.  But now, backward moving transit Rahu has been hovering around the 16:30 Gemini eclipse location since early November and will continue to do so until the end of January -- a long 3 months.  (This results because Rahu/Ketu occasionally turn forward and sometimes even stop in the sky.)  This means transit Rahu hits (harms) Trump's Mercury and the U.S. Jupiter.

Yes, it's confusing that the eclipse points aren't on the eclipse location on the eclipse date, but the eclipse points can cross the eclipse location later.  And certainly if and when they do, they cause the same kind of eclipse blocking harms as the astronomical eclipse itself.

Thereby, Trump and the U.S. were, and are, hit hard for up to 6 months by the July 2, 2019 solar eclipse.  Plus, from November 2019 through January 2020, transit Rahu brings that same karma.  Trump's mind and reputation are harmed, he's even more paranoid, and conflict occurs in the U.S.

Just a week after the articles of impeachment were announced, the House of Representatives voted to impeach Trump in two articles.  The first article passed at 8:34 PM and the second on 8:52.  This signifies the birth of the impeachment process, for which a chart can be drawn.  Having the time is great, because it allows the chart calculation to set the house positions -- the first house in the sign rising above the horizon then, with the other houses -- 2 through 12 -- following clockwise.  Thereby, the chart includes not just the signs, which is often the case for people and nations, but also the houses -- giving complete data.

A Vedic natal (birth) chart displays the lifelong karmas and how these unfold over time via Dasas (planetary cycles) and transits (where the planets are in today's skies).

Birth charts for people are straightforward.  They describe the life at birth and follow it through the lifetime.  We can readily understand that.  Charts of nations, and other groups like companies, are more difficult to understand for the nature of the thing is determinative.  For example, the birth charts of a charity and a mining company both opened at the same date must be interpreted on the basis of what these companies do.

Birth charts for things like the impeachment are more challenging to interpret, for the nature, the essence, of the thing is unknown, undefined.  It's not alive -- doesn't have a life.  It's components are the articles of impeachment, but how these advance, or are terminated, isn't clear.

We do know the impeachment chart is an action by the House of Representatives charging Trump of misbehaviors that warrant he be removed from office.  But it will be the Senate that holds a trial to convict him or dismiss the charges.  Thereby, the impeachment chart tells only half the story, the beginning by the House.  And as it turns out the House is holding off sending the impeachment articles to the Senate, that body's actions are veiled.  No one knows when the Senate will receive the articles and how the trial will be conducted.

Other questions arise.  Is this a chart indicating Trump's downfall, or victory -- or does it impact him in a different way?  How does the chart fit into the fabric of America -- a democracy test, stress on the political parties, a change in government...?  If this impeachment trial fails in the Senate, will there be another impeachment charge by the House?

With these caveats in mind, below is the chart for the House passing the first article of impeachment -- 8:34 PM on December 18 in Washington DC.*  The below discussion focuses upon major karmas that can be used to understand the nature of the impeachment and its process.

First, with Cancer as the first house, and the Moon rules Cancer, this is a female lunar chart.  That female Venus throws an aspect (glance) to Cancer makes this feminine nature beautiful, compassionate and wise.  Unfortunately, the Moon herself is poorly placed in edge of the third house, where she desires control but lacks poor to execute actions.  Also, a nasty old Saturn aspects the Moon, which brings focus but also distrust, delays, doubts, fatigue and lack of appreciation. It also makes the Moon elderly.  If this sounds like Nancy Pelosi, that glove fits.  It was her decision to launch the impeachment; she lead her party to vote for it; and the House is now delayed in sending the articles to the Senate.  Too, there is a very potent karma for being stubborn.

The big planetary concentration, of course, is the 4 planet stellium in Sagittarius, the sixth house of open enemies, competitors and disputes.  Of these, 3 are malefic, and only Jupiter is benefic.  By just this measurement, we can see this will be a long, hard and dirty fight with the outcome in doubt.

Here are some karmas for each of the planets.

Saturn gives another stubbornness karma, confirming that quality.  Saturn does fight hard here, though.  Ketu causes breaks and problems with numerous enemies and coworkers, with jealousy an issue.  Jupiter is great here in his own sign -- smoothing the waters, making a path ahead.  But he's so afflicted by 3 malefics, he's slogging through mud to advance.  The Sun is government, and in the sixth house, he is good for leadership and defeating enemies.  However, the Sun's heat burns Jupiter, and as the Sun advances in transit over Jupiter, Ketu and Saturn, those planets are also combusted.  They, in turn harm the governing Sun. (Note that out of all 4 planets, the Sun is the only one that moves quickly -- 30 days in a sign.)

Saturn, Jupiter and the Sun all aspect the twelfth house of loss (and hidden enemies), where loss causing Rahu is placed.  Nothing can survive that negative karma.

It seems the impeachment articles are not only delayed, but there will be a tough battle just to get them out of the House and into the Senate.  And then when they're addressed in the Senate, there will be continued discords and fighting until they're rejected.

We can see specifics of coming karmas by looking at the Dasas (planetary cycles) and transits.  The Dasas at time of birth were Sun/Rahu/Sun/Sun/Saturn.  This is a bunch of malefics, but even considering the Sun a leader, Rahu blocks him and Saturn slows him down.

As for transits, the Sun is quickly advancing, as mentioned.  Now he is at 13 degrees, heading toward dissolving tomorrow Ketu and nasty Saturn by January 9.  In the meantime, mental Mercury transited into this den of lions December 25, passed the hot Sun and will be on top of Ketu right after New Years and on Saturn January 9 with the Sun.

Taking these planetary karmas together, it seems the House members will be raucous.  And as the impeachment chart is about that entire process, the Senate members will be at each others' throats.

This impeachment effort thereby looks to be a drawn out and bloody battle which ultimately fails -- unless Trump behaves so badly during this process that Republican Senators begin to abandon him.

Still, expect surprises, for there are hundreds of players in Congress, and many, many folks not in government positions are, and will, make their voices known.  Just consider what happened in the House, when Trump was blindsided by career government employees testifying against him to reveal his malfeasances.  Too, crazy and paranoid Trump, with his reputation in tatters, would be emboldened to commit even worse deeds -- drawing more impeachment articles in the House.

(*It was mentioned above that the first article was passed at 8:34 and the second at 8:52. This is like birth of twins, but those folks have individual lives, and this impeachment has one life.  This is more muddying up the waters of knowledge.  Still, as both charts have Cancer rising -- first house, there's a basic commonality between them.)
