Global Warming Right Here In Retirement Heaven

By now we've all have our global warming experiences, some terrible, others just frightening.  Here's mine, merely disconcerting and worrisome.

Below is an email I recently sent to Ron Smith, running now for Venice Florida, City Council.  He's one of the few here in Sarasota on Florida's Gulf Coast who is not yet over-washed by the Republicans.  And if you don't believe that, read this Washington Post article from yesterday, The Maga American Dream lives in Sarasota,

On Florida’s Gulf Coast, a loose coalition of activists, officials and
Trumpworld celebrities is building the world they want to live in

I personally prefer MAGAlitis -- like tonsillitis except more toxic.

First, a little context.  Venice, just south of Sarasota, has recently become discovered by the Republican elites.  They've been bringing their buckets of money here to inflate real estate prices, which is driving out less affluent retirees and also working families.  But they don't actually care about the community.  For them, the bigger the better, especially for houses and guns -- and their goal of purifying America from WOKE culture.

Here's a picture of the Venice Jetties, creted by the Army Corps of Engineers in 1937 and is integral to the national Intracoastal Waterway System.  The inlet both drains the bays and the Intracoastal itself.  The jetties create a channel into the Gulf Of Mexico, very popular with boaters for being safe and deep.  The Jetty inlet is a key amenity to this small City on the Gulf, which boasts its own airport, golf course, yacht club, theatre, miles of public beaches, historic Venetian design, circus heritage, great fishing and -- popular with all ages -- the sharks tooth capital of the world.

So, the below email to Ron Smith details how water level rise is harming the jetties.  This damage from hurricane Idalia in early September is just one of several jetty over-washes that are getting worse every year, along with the heat and hurricanes.  Of course the Republicans are actually concerned about more than McMansions and armaments, although sharpening their knives comes in a close third.  That's how they are civic minded.?

Venice has done nothing of substance about global warming, and this jetty over-wash issue, even as dramatic as it is, doesn't motivate them to act.  And action will be imperative.  The jetties will have to be raised, for the Intracoastal Waterway cannot be abandoned.  Piling large rocks long the sides, as shown below, simply isn't enough any longer.  Repaving the surface doesn't hold now for more than a year or two.

Notice in this email the part about the eclipses in October.  Well, The Celestial Wheel has highlighted these as one of the several planetary ills this fall.  As eclipses serve to block, they can allow or catalyze disasters.  Again then with Vedic Astrology,  So above so below.

I don't mean to be a pest, Ron, but this information is important for the community.  Also, it gives you some more grist for the mill in your campaign.  As I tell my subscribers, you can run but you can't hide from global warming.

See,  https://www.houstonpublicmedia.org/articles/climate-change/2023/04/12/449026/gulf-coast-sea-level-rising-at-unprecedented-rate-recent-studies-find/

Gulf Coast sea level rising at ‘unprecedented’ rate, recent studies find
...average sea levels along the United States' Gulf and Southeastern coasts have increased by about half an inch per year since 2010, which the report says is about three times the global average and "unprecedented in at least 120 years.

...The faster (sea level rise) on the Southeast and Gulf coasts ... coincided with active and even record-breaking North Atlantic hurricane seasons in recent years," Yin's study states. "As a consequence, the elevated storm surge exacerbated coastal flooding and damages, particularly on the Gulf Coast."

To see this exaggerated effect of global warming locally, we don't have to wait for a hurricane or tropical storm.  Just watch the jetties.

The jetties are now routinely over-washed.  Even just a high tide at full Moon will cause that.  No storm needed.  I scooter to the jetty every morning and took the below pic at 10 AM this morning.  You can see one wave crashing over the left foreground rocks and the entire jetty wet from the waves coming over the top of the pavement.  High tide was at 11 AM, and today is a full Moon.

Outgoing tide (after high tide) is the worst, for then the outgoing current slams into waves coming in from the Gulf.  Waves, especially at the mouth of the jetty, are thereby higher than the tide charts call for.  That area takes the brunt of that energy.  I've seen waves at the at the jetty mouth  double in height and send water plumes 20' plus over the jetty rocks.  Boats have a perilous time navigating, and fisherman stay off the pier then.

Also, I've noticed even higher tides at eclipses.   So more over-washing then.  And again, when the tide begins to fall, the inlet accelerated current flows directly into Gulf waves, amplifying wave height and energy.  (This also relates somewhat to Midnight Pass closing, for all of the southern section of Little Sarasota Bay drains south to the Venice Inlet, increasing the inlet current speed.)

We will have an annular (total) solar eclipse October 14 with high tides at 2:21 PM and 11:35PM.  There will be a partial  lunar eclipse October 28 with high tides at 3:11 and 11:32 PM  Solar eclipses are stronger for the Sun and Moon in the same position.  So, these will be the worst times for jetty over-wash.  Peak over-washing will be after high tide, for then the water is draining the bays.  So, for the solar eclipse, look at about 11 AM and 7 PM for the best marine entertainment.

https://www.usharbors.com/harbor/Florida/sarasota-fl/tides/?tide=2023-10#monthly-tide-chart.

I wonder if Parks and Recreation will close Humphris Park before the eclipses and also if Public Works will coordinate with the contractor coming to repave the jetty to make sure any and all work is not washed out in a few days by these eclipses.

Of course, another hurricane will repeat the damage.  Or maybe the eclipses and storms will deliver combination punches.

In closing the climate issues are numerous with many ramifications.  Below is a graph of  U.S. property values.  (If you can't read the labels for the crashes, the first two were oil embargoes and the last two financial.  The graph is for the national market; Florida is much more dramatic.

Mars/Ketu Tuesday

The September 25 Almost Half Way Through included the new information that warrior Mars transits to transit Ketu tomorrow, October 3.  A supporting karma is this will be a Tuesday, Mars' day of the week, which heightens danger.

There's a third arrow, which originates and Libra to target Jupiter.  This is Mars' continued aspecting Jupiter when he (Mars) shifts into Libra October 3.  This is triply bad for hot Mars also being conjunct hot Ketu, the dissolving eclipse point.  From this position, Mars aspects Rahu, the cold demonic eclipse point.  This combination of Mars with Ketu and Rahu impacting Jupiter is extremely violent, and we can see that in it occurring 9/11/2001.  This time it's worse for Saturn, the great malefic, also aspecting Jupiter.

Explosions, fires, personal violences and other significant destructions are called for.

For the U.S. chart, the Dasas (planetary cycles) include Ketu, as shown here.  This is another supporting karma.

Let's see what happens.  Just be moderate and careful tomorrow and the following few days.  I encountered a few Trumpies on my scooter trip to the jetty this morning.  They are not happy, actually very aggressive, that Trump's civil trial started today.

Eclipse Season Is Here

Eclipse seasons occur twice each year.  Eclipses naturally relate to the eclipse points, which move gradually backwards through the zodiac.  The eclipse points of Rahu and Ketu slowly back up from season to season, year to year, in an 18 year cycle.

This is why we call the eclipses a season, which is currently in the fall and spring.  The August 22 From Sea To Shining Sea detailed this fall's eclipses,

So, the annular solar eclipse, which is in effect total, is already upon us.  The October 1 Global Warming Right Here In Retirement Heaven gave a real life example of the jetty here,

If you're close to the Gulf or Atlantic coast, pay attention to this solar eclipse's high hide(s) in your location.

With all the planetary afflictions resulting in a truly sensitive interval from September 3 to November 3, this eclipse could very well bring flooding.  It could also cause other blocking issues.

With eclipse effects hitting about two weeks before the astronomical event, we can ascribe Kevin McCarthy being voted out as speaker of the house October 2 -- as well as the ongoing delay in electing a new speaker -- to the solar eclipse.  With the Israeli/Hamas conflict that began October 7, and the terrible Afghanistan earthquake (2400 dead) that same day, these are also within this solar eclipse's influence.  Remember, eclipse effects continue for a week or so following the celestial event, and with a lunar eclipse October 28, the eclipse season continues until early November.

Interestingly, the McCarthy vote was on October 2, the peak day for the Mars/Ketu conjunction -- October 2 Mars/Ketu Tuesday.  So, instead of Mars/Ketu physical violence, we had political violence.

The above mentioned planetary afflictions have been extensively discussed, with the August 22 From Sea To Shining Sea listing these in some detail.  The September 7 One Quarter Of The Way Through, also describes these ills.  For the globe, these are transit issues: retrogrades, eclipses and Jupiter being hit hard three times.

Below is a chart for today showing three malefic aspects upon Jupiter, the great benefic, which, when harmed, puts a cloud over the entire zodiac.  Notice too that Jupiter and Saturn are retrograde, weakening their capacity for protecting the solar system.  Lastly, see the Sun high in Virgo, getting ready to be eclipsed there at 26° 56", where this Ketu eclipse will occur.

Transits October 11, 2023

These transits also naturally impact the U.S., where two U.S. chart issues add to the destructions -- the terrible Dasas (planetary cycles) of Rahu/Saturn and Saturn crossing the Moon.

In closing, the August 13 Dog days took a look ahead at Trump's Dasas,

Trump's Dasas are Jupiter major and Mercury minor from  July 16, 2021 to October 22, 2023.  Note, that while Mercury in his chart supports money, which certainly Trump has gained it makes him bark incessantly.  Mercury is on balance harmful to Trump. That's another reason in indictments are hitting faster than soccer balls.

The next Dasa major and minor are Jupiter and Ketu October 23, 2023 to September 27, 2024.  As Ketu is the mystical and dissolving tail-of-the-dragon eclipse point, it's alien to worldly endeavors.  Also, being conjunct Trump's already overly sensitive perceptional Moon, Trump lives by his emotions, loses rationality and lives in his own mystical paranoiaIn an already fragile national environment, this further stress must result in his cult ending.

This is truly pivotal for both Trump and the country.  Along with all the other planetary afflictions hitting the U.S. Jupiter/Ketu Dasa will be Trump's end.

As Above, So Below

The October 1 Global Warming Right Here In Retirement Heaven linked the October 14 solar eclipse to over-washing the Jetty here in Venice Fl.  As above, so below.

The September 27 full Moon was enough to cause the jetty to over-wash.  But you'll notice too on the left, rough seas.

It was anticipated the solar eclipse on Saturday October 14 would similarly cause the seas to rise and again over-wash the Jetty.  Well, that didn't happen because the seas were calm on eclipse day.

However, remember that eclipse effects begin two weeks before the astronomical event, and these are naturally stronger as the eclipse date approaches.  This is notable when considering tides, for as the Sun and Moon shift closer, the resulting tides are stronger -- higher.

What happened is that Thursday October 12, with eclipse tides increasing and rough seas, the Jetty over-washed again.

And this time, the sea level rise was even higher, over-washing the Jetty and flooding part of the parking lot.

So, in this case, the eclipse impact on the tide was greater than the previous full Moon, even though the eclipse was still two days away.  For the Venice Jetty, it took the additional lift of rough seas to cause over-washing.

This is the way of predictions, especially those that mirror celestial conditions -- like the powerful solar eclipse on October 14 contributed to the jetty over-washing on October 12.

Still, just because I didn't nail the date exactly doesn't mean there wasn't value in the prediction the jetty would over-wash due to the eclipse.  The tide was higher than usual on Thursday due in part to the eclipse.  Boaters, fishermen, swimmers, surfers... benefited from having advance information about higher eclipse tides.

It's always good to remember as above so below and to look up!

Lunar Eclipse Coming

We'll have a partial lunar eclipse this Saturday, October 28.  This was detailed in the August 22 From Sea to Shining Sea,

As a partial lunar eclipse, its effects are typically minor, and the eclipse effects can pass unnoticed.  Still, as stated above, if you have a planet within 2 degrees of 10°58, that planet will be eclipsed -- blocked.

The eclipse will be maximum at 3:30 PM EDT.  This map from TimeAndDate.com shows: in pink the visible areas, in light blue the penumbra (outer shadow) and white not visible at all.  Thereby, the eclipse won't be visible in the U.S.. except for a slight shading in the Northeast.  Plus, given the daylight time, it will literally pass unnoticed to both the eye and the soul.

Neither Trump nor the U.S. chart have planets in Aries.  So these charts are in the clear.

Below is the eclipse sign chart -- for the globe.  You can see the
R next to Jupiter and Saturn indicating retrograde.  The arrows from Saturn and Mars to Jupiter are aspects from these malefics.  Jupiter is further harmed by being conjunct Rahu.

Lunar Eclipse October 28. 2023
3:30 PM

So, this remains a volatile period, within a peak of September 3 to November 3,
...three malefic aspects upon Jupiter, the great benefic, which, when harmed, puts a cloud over the entire zodiac.  Notice too that Jupiter and Saturn are retrograde, weakening their capacity for protecting the solar system.  Then, Saturn turns forward, which strengthens the planetary karmas but not fully in a good way.  Saturn, after all, is the planet of limitation, loss, restriction...

The U.S. chart is injured even more by transit Saturn crossing birth chart Moon, which is exact again December 3.  The big problem is that when Saturn ends its retrograde and turns forward November 3, it will be literally on top of the Moon -- perception, benefits in life, the home....  Except all kinds of horrors that resemble all to accurately Halloween, except without humor.

The violences in the realms of politics, weather and personal relations will thereby continue.

While Trump's chart and the U.S. chart don't have any planets hit by the eclipse, the transits are difficult, especially when adding in the U.S. Saturn crossing the Moon.  Also, the Dasas (planetary cycles) for both Trump (Jupiter/Ketu) and the U.S. (Rahu/Saturn) are very tough.

Trump has a particularly bad time for his Dasas having changed to Jupiter/Ketu October 22.  The August 13 Dog Days explained,

The next Dasa major and minor are Jupiter and Ketu October 23, 2023 to September 27, 2024.  As Ketu is the mystical and dissolving tail-of-the-dragon eclipse point, it's alien to worldly endeavors.  Also, being conjunct Trump's already overly sensitive perceptional Moon, Trump lives by his emotions, loses rationality and lives in his own mystical paranoia.  In an already fragile national environment, this further stress must result in his cult ending.

But again, remember that only through turmoil comes change, and certainly the ongoing turmoil in the globe and in the U.S. must signal major societal shifts.
