This Article Says It All

The last Celestial Wheel entry, February 15 More On Mars Transiting Scorpio & Another Eclipse! reiterated and expanded upon predictions for Mars/Saturn stresses.  These were first made in the January January 25 entry Mars Action & Eclipse Season

Basically, Mars and Saturn both aspecting Aquarius and Gemini create tremendous harms in their equally malefic but energetically opposing energies coming together.

From January 25,

For Trump, Scorpio is his fourth house of emotions, and Mars there makes him irritable and short tempered.   Notice in his chart that Ketu (the dissolving tail-of-the-dragon eclipse point) is in Scorpio at a high degree, along with Trump's overly sensitive Moon.  Mars transiting across these planets in late February/early March will add to his quick temper and emotional outbursts.

Beyond this, Mars' aspect to Taurus hits his tenth house of career.  And for the U.S. chart, Mars and Saturn both aspect Gemini , that chart's seventh house of relationship and the social nature, where four planets are placed.  Thus, relationships of all kinds are disrupted.

Mars In Sagittarius With Saturn

Celestial Wheel entries in late January February and March focused upon Mars' transit in Scorpio, just one sign behind Saturn.  This position resulted in aspects by these two great malefics - Mars' fighting/accidents and Saturn suffering/loss -- combining in two signs.  The January 25 entry Mars Action & Eclipse Season ended with this forewarning, Expect more and increased disruptions through March 6. Perhaps we'll all look back at this month, January, remembering it as the calm before the storm.

The February 15 entry More On Mars Transiting Scorpio & Another Eclipse! included a description and chart showing these aspects,

As you can see, when Mars is one sign/house behind Saturn, they both throw aspects to two signs/houses.  In this case, they both aspect Aquarius and Gemini.  Aggressive Mars combined with immovable Saturn results in tremendous stresses -- like Mars as a battering ram hits a solid castle gate.  Their doubled energy hitting two house/signs is destructive by a factor of four.

Mars was in Scorpio from January 16 March 6.  Then, moving clockwise through the zodiac, Mars entered Sagittarius, where it conjoins Saturn until May 2.  It's going to be a long, turbulent spring!  Aggressive Mars will attack Saturn hardest as he approaches that planet of resistance at about three degrees away -- opposing malefic energies locked in battle.  Mars will be within three degrees of Saturn starting March 27 and will exactly conjoin Saturn April 1.  While aspects are powerful, conjunctions are naturally much more potent -- by about a factor of three.

The below transit chart for today shows having joined Saturn in Sagittarius.  As you can see, Mars has advanced nearly three degrees into that sign.

Aspects come into play again, notably their twin aspects across the zodiac to Gemini.  So, the Mars/Saturn stresses are focused upon Sagittarius and Gemini.

These signs are tough for the U.S. chart and Trump's chart as well.  In the U.S. chart, Sagitarius is the first house of the self and Gemini the seventh house of the "other," relationships and the social nature  Simply put, the U.S. struggles against itself.  Notably, as Saturn is authority figures in government, there is a karma for misuse of authority.

For Trump, Sagittarius is the fifth house of the mind.  Saturn/Mars transiting there makes Trump even more disagreeable and prone to truly crazed statements and actions.  Gemini is his eleventh house of goals and groups, both of which are both blocked and even wrecked by the aspects from Saturn and Mars.  That Trump's mental Mercury is placed in his eleventh house means that it too is under extreme pressure.  Trump, typically a bluffer, can take extreme actions this month and next to push ahead his agenda, attack enemies and protect himself.  Note in the above transit chart for today that Mars aspects Venus in Pisces, which is Trump's eight house of catastrophe.  Well, female Venus is already causing him problems with women!  Mars' aspect to Cancer is to his twelfth house of loss, where transit Rahu and birthchart Saturn and Venus are placed.  These influences put additional pressure on him regarding females but also his career, for Venus rules (owns) his tenth house of career and the public.  Further, the twelfth is hidden enemies, and remember, Muehler lurks, with an already full quiver of arrows.  The danger here is not so much Muehler attacking Trump but rather Trump's extreme response.

This Mars aspect to Cancer is also particularly bad for the U.S. since Cancer is that chart's eighth house of calamity, where birthchart Rahu and Mercury are placed.  Major catastrophes must result, and severe spring weather is likely.

This spring, then, is a dangerous time in America.  But remember, all these struggles are about destroying the old to make room for the new -- the Second Progressive Age.  We've already seen progress in several areas -- Black Lives Matter, Me Too and gun control.

Here's a PS regarding Trump's extreme response from this morning's Washington Post, Trump unrestrained: Recent moves show president listening to his gut more than advisers

When he’s under pressure is when he tends to do this impulsive stuff,” said Jack O’Donnell, former president of the Trump Plaza Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City. “That’s what I saw in the business. When he began to have pressure with debts, when the [Taj Mahal casino in Atlantic City] was underperforming, is when he began acting very erratically.

Mars On The Attack

The (above) March 12 Celestial wheel entry Mars In Sagittarius With Saturn continued to follow Mars through the zodiac.  As the planet of action, aggressive Mars forces planets with whom he associates into releasing their karma.  This is most true of Saturn, known for its immobility.  Mars stimulates Saturn into ation -- like a rider spurring a horse.  Also then, Saturn holds Mars back, causing the planet of war to aggression, and some fear as well.

That entry stated,

March 6... Mars entered Sagittarius, where it conjoins Saturn until May 2.

March 27 is this coming Tuesday.  So next week will see tremendous releases of destructive karma.

That entry further stated (emphasis added)

For Trump, Sagittarius is the fifth house of the mind.  Saturn/Mars transiting there makes Trump even more disagreeable and prone to truly crazed statements and actions.  Gemini is his eleventh house of goals and groups, both of which are both blocked, and even wrecked, by the aspects from Saturn and Mars.

This Mars aspect to Cancer is also particularly bad for the U.S., since Cancer is that chart's eighth house of calamity, where birthchart Rahu and Mercury are placed.  Major catastrophes must result, and severe spring weather is likely.

Some of this karma (energy) has already been released in disasters -- man made, natural, political and economic. So, once again, hold your hat. It's gonna be a bumpy ride.

A Game Changer

As stated many times in The Celestial Wheel, Only through turmoil comes change.

And certainly this Mars/Saturn conjunction brings turmoil that is forcing change -- into the Second Progressive Age of shared democratic values.

As Jesus said, Blessed are the meek for they shall inherit the earth.  And aren't children truly the meek?

Hosanna, a (meek) child, just nine years old, has come forward on the gun issues -- shootings in schools and minorities throughout the nation -- to inspire America to action. As per TMZ,

Yolanda Renee King -- granddaughter of Martin Luther King Jr. and Coretta Scott King -- took the stage at March for Our Lives ... and gave a rousing speech her granddad would be proud of.

The 9-year-old walked out with Parkland student Jaclyn Corin, and gave her own version of MLK's famous "I Have a Dream" speech ... saying her dream is that when it comes to guns in our country -- "Enough is enough!"

Yolanda then led the thousands in attendance in a stirring chant in unison, not once, not twice -- but 3 times ... and the crowd ate it up.

Here's the link to the article with video of a little girl changing the world -- MLK Jr.'s Granddaughter I Have a Dream, Too ... No More Guns!!!

Note -- you may have to wait a while for the video to play, for it has become an overnight sensation across the globe.  That video demand has tied of the computer servers for many websites offering the video. Be patient.  You will be amazed!

More Money More Moneeeeyyyyy!

By now, everyone must have seen Discover Card's commercial "Freak Out" Spread the News Cashback Match.  It's a great commercial in the unexpected contrast of a typically demure Asian woman suddenly erupting into a literally hysterical money monger. Further, this delight for free money fits with the Republican's tax cuts and increased spending with the 1.3 trillion just passed spending bill.

These actions are clearly and obviously expansionary, which has driven up the stock markets and also public support for Republican lawmakers and Trump.

Of course there is no such thing as free money, any more than The Secret, manifestation, prosperity churches, miracle weight loss... cons actually work. But, their appeal has been irresistible despite that undeniable fact they are not realistic but rather magical thinking -- like Oprah's guests for years on her TV show, Dr. OZ...

Isn't it true then the Republican's expansionary policies actually are also magical thinking that must fail?  Consider just one number -- The U.S. government is set to borrow nearly $1 trillion this year, an 84 percent jump from last year.  Uh oh, we'll need to pay for that or suffer another major economic recession, unless, of course, the magical thinkers in the Republican Party are correct that supply side economics grows the economy (and thereby tax receipts) much more than tax cuts reduce revenue and balloon both the deficit and the debt.

Here's the commercial "Freak Out" Spread the News Cashback Match, and here she initially professional and calm and then freaking out -- shrieking, More Money, More Moneeeyyyy!

Let's take a quick look at transit Jupiter this year in the U.S. chart.  (Recall, transits are where planets are in today's skies, and they are a secondary karmic influence, giving temporary and more worldly results than Vedic Astrology's primary influence, Dasas, or planetary cycles).  That chart is below left, and the current transit chart is to the right.

Jupiter, the great benefic, the planet of expansion and potent in the U.S. chart, is transiting for a year Libra. This Libra transit began September 12, 2017 and will end October 11, 2018. Jupiter is strongest in transit in the middle of a sign, as it was in November and December 2017. The Republican's tax bill passed Congress December 19.

Libra in the U.S. chart is the eleventh house of gains. So, as transit Jupiter was very strong this past fall, it brought a big gain to the public by lowering taxes.

United States

Transits March 31 2018

However, just as transit Jupiter is strongest in the middle of a sign, he's also weakest at the sign edges.  By mid January, Jupiter was 26 degrees Libra, close to the 30 degree wide sign edge -- and weakening fast.  Beyond this, Jupiter turned retrograde March 8, which weakened him further.

Below is a 3 month graph of the DOW Jones Industrial Average.  You can clearly see stocks began to slide in late January, just as Jupiter moved close to the sign edge.  And, since the March 8 retrograde began, stocks have slid further down.

Jupiter will continue this retrograde until July 10.  Expect then continued and further weakness in securities.  And because of this dichotomy of More Money, More Moneeeyyyy! with wealthy Jupiter's weakness, also expect great volatility in the markets.

Beyond the Mars/Saturn conjunction peak going on now, that was last discussed in the (above) March 12 entry Mars In Sagittarius With Saturn, there's another fly in the prosperity ointment.  As shown in the above transit chart for today, Mercury is also retrograde. This is naturally negative for the planet of communications, which is also a business planet.  It's worse for Mercury being in Pisces, it's fallen (weak) sign.

Mercury went retrograde March 23 for its usual 3 week period, which will end April 15.  However, its retrograde keeps Mercury in Pisces, and it won't climb out of this hole until May 8 -- when it finally escapes into Aries.

While a lot more detail can be offered, this is enough for today's Celestial Wheel entry.  After all, with Mercury's communication's doubly injured, we can only digest information in small servings.  It is enough to conclude that with Jupiter's higher mind and Mercury's lower mind both very weak, it's a troubling time across the entire globe.
