Voter Turnout Impacting Election Results

A key factor in all elections is voter turnout, and this is seen as pivotal for November 8. Analysts believe Clinton has the advantage because her greater advertising and big ground game will stimulate voters going to the polls. On the other hand, analysts wonder that Trump's big crowds at rallies is enough motivation for them to actually vote? Yet, in polling, Trump's supporters are more motivated than Clinton's.

Further, the waters have been so muddied for so long now with negative news about (and from) both candidates, the electorate is disgusted with the entire process. That must depress election day turnout. To be fair, however, most of the trash talking is Trump bullets, forcing Clinton deflect them, sometimes reflecting criticisms back at Trump. The dirty election issue, then, seems to be hurting Trump more than Clinton.

There are many tools in the Vedic toolbox, and one really works here -- Ashtakavarga. This is a multifaceted mathematical system weighing planetary karmas to yield very specific, even precise predictions. (The Celestial Wheel uses Ashtakavarga) routinely, though it's so technical, the information is integrated with other descriptive influences in making predictions.)

One Ashtakavarga technique calculates whether the 7 visible planets in transit are turned on or turned off as they move through eight sections of each sign. This means what is says -- a planet's karma (influence) that is turned on is active; and a planet that is turned off in inactive. This measurement is valuable for an election in being highly time specific. The Sanskrit words for these is Kakshas, or Bindus, measured as either a "0" being off or "1" being on.

A good analogy here is street lighting. When all or most of the street lights are off, the road is dark -- can't be seen. When all or most of the street lights are turned out, the road is illuminated -- can be seen. Similarly, when a person's chart has lots of Bindus, he/she is visible and when few Bindus, invisible. Attractive is another good descriptor for Bindu influence.

Many years ago a client was applying for the job as the Director of Education at a community art center -- competing with literally hundreds of others. On the day the board of directors had chosen to chose, this fellow's chart had all 7 Bindus all day. I advised he would get the job. Late that day, he called me excitedly with the good news. I told him with 7 Bindus, he should go back to the art center and ask for a larger office!

The idea here is that the more Bindus a candidate chart has on election day, the more motivated his/her supporters will be to vote. Naturally then, the fewer Bindus indicate less visibility and thereby fewer voters going to the polls. Moths are attracted to flames.

Usually, actually almost always, 2 to 5 planets are turned on at any given time. A few times a year, however, most or all the planets are turned on. Similarly, very occasionally, most or all of the planets are turned off. I write most or all because the fast moving planets -- Moon, Sun, Venus and Mercury -- travel through the signs so quickly, one or more changes Ashtakavarga sign sections a day, which blinks them on or off. So, for any day, or even half day, a person's chart will never have all 7 Bindus all day or 0 Bindus all day.

Let's look at the Bindu count on election day for Clinton and Trump. Keeping in mind that the fast moving planets change the Bindu count during the day, the below results show the predominant Bindu count all day -- from 7 AM to 7 PM.

Clinton

Trump

Clinton's Moon is turns on and off repeatedly November 8, and her Mercury blinks off midday. Essentially, her attractive power is weak. Trump has no Bindus at all that day except for his Saturn, which is lit up all day. His Moon doesn't even blink on at all.

Both candidates then will bedim lights on the road voters will take to the polls. This suggests low voter turnout due to low voter motivation because the candidates are invisible, not attractive.

It seems then that low voter turnout, or at least less than expected compared with past presidential elections, will result in Clinton winning. However, the margin of victory will also then be smaller, which will bring election challenges and disputes that test the voting system and reduce Clinton's mandate.

Post Script November 5

That is, I don't believe we're going to wake up Wednesday morning to a completed and undisputed election. I know this isn't good news, just as we're nearing the end of this horrific election marathon, that the prediction is for another run around the course. Let's all hope the course is not convoluted like the below Berlin Marathon, or at least the candidates can take a shortcut to the finish line :-)

F.B.I. Says It Hasn’t Changed Its Conclusions on Hillary Clinton Email Case

The October 28 Celestial Wheel entry, Venus Conjoining Saturn, cautioned about vehicles and women during this difficult conjunction. Saturn literally slams Venusian vehicles and females to the mat. Because Saturn's cold nature blankets warm Venus, expect the U.S. political campaigns will be even more hard-hearted, even cruel. Women can be targets. Nasty secrets involving women can rise from Scorpio's murky depths.

The entry also stated, While all of this is dangerous, unpleasant, even distasteful, and it will endure until just before the November 8 election, when Venus exits Scorpio -- take heart. The worst of this Venus/Saturn karma will be over on Sunday, and we'll just have to hang on through the election.

This results because Venus (females) exits Scorpio, the twelfth house of loss in the U.S. chart, to enter Sagitarius, the first house in that chart. Venus in the first house is happy, forgiving, gentle.... In a nutshell, fortunate Venus shifts from loss to gain. Because Hillary Clinton is both a female and Libra rising ( a Venus sign) this fits for her.

Reflecting Back For Insight Into The Future

Reviewing past forecasting doesn't change anything in this Rahu-energy election.

There is some utility, however, in considering past predictions to help us understand the present and anticipate the future. Too, some predictions pointed correctly to the future, even as the steadfast prediction for Clinton winning was wrong.

Recall the U.S. chart began its tumultuous 18 year Rahu* Dasa (planetary cycle) last December 1. It is this energy, then, that dominates the country. Trump is also running the last of his Rahu Dasa, which in matching the U.S. Dasa, puts him in sync with the nation. Using a marine analogy, the U.S. fleet is currently sailing through a Rahu icepack, and the ship, or ships, that don't sink are armored icebreakers or submarines -- boats that hide in the depths, like serpents. The Celestial Wheel focuses on Dasas for being the primary karma in chart that best describes the experiences of nations.

*For new subscribers, as well as veterans, know that Rahu is one of the eclipse points, which hold great power in in India's Vedic Astrology. They are symbolized by two halves of a serpent. Rahu, the head, is worldly cravings and desires, and the future. Ketu, the tail, is a mystical dissolving influence of the past.

Rahu and Ketu, being eclipse points, are called shadow planets, but their lack of materiality does not diminish them, and they are particularly potent when conjoined with another real planet.

Rahu, being a serpent, is coldblooded reptilian energy, completely devoid of humanistic qualities -- both good and bad. Rahu never does good deeds, but he also doesn't do harm out of hate, greed, or even fear. His desires and drives elicit from the truly ancient genes dominating life before warmblooded mammals with their larger brains and thereby more sensitized sentience. Although we often give too much credit to our pets, for example, believing dogs and cats are our friends, they do often holdd us in high regard, sometimes sacrificing themselves for us. No reptile ever did that! This is why Vedic Astrologers say that Rahu energy is both unanticipated and uncontrollable.

A Peek Into September

This is the U.S. Chart. Notice that Rahu (head-of-the-dragon eclipse point) in the eighth house of hidden depths and calamity with Mercury, the mind. In this chart, Mercury rules the seventh house of partnership and the social nature and the tenth house of career and government officials. Mercury feels under attack from serpent Rahu, which brings greater fear for being in the eight house -- what the Celestial Wheel has termed Mystical Paranoia. That Mercury is retrograde makes it more sensitive and directs its fears back into history.

This combination brings a fear of authority, a breakdown of social/political groups, upheavals in government, fear of foreigners (Rahu is foreigners) and economic upheavals. This last results from Mercury being a business planet and ruling two houses relating to business. Trump's success is based solely upon capitalizing upon these fears.

September 7

A Karmic Challenge to Trump

Because Rahu in the U.S. chart is in the eighth house of turmoil, expect unexpected reversals to occur, which will further stimulate fear and hate.

With transit Rahu is in the ninth house of religion, philosophy and higher knowledge, bizarre philosophies and beliefs have already emerged, as we can see from Trump's influence. Because transit Saturn very closely aspects transit Rahu, these can become even more fanatical.

Considering both Trump's chart and that U.S. chart, it appears then, that Trump is on his way to finish blowing himself up. But he continues to have a ready, even devoted audience, for this ranting and raving. America's Mystical Paranoia is in full bloom.

Through The Election

However, it should be noted that Trump ends his 18 year Rahu Dasa on November 14 -- just after he loses the election. (He then enters is 16 year Jupiter Dasa.) His expansive and lucky Jupiter is tremendously powerful It has given him great inherited wealth, earned wealth, has allowed him to overcome financial losses and the ability to convince. Jupiter also serves to make him feel like a king.

When Jupiter Dasa comes in, Trump's belief in his kingship, and his ability to become American royalty, will soar. However, Saturn is not done with his Moon, crossing the Moon three times in the next twelve months. This sets up a tremendous conflict between Jupiter's expansion and Saturn's contraction. It is critical to know that Saturn is the one planet which cannot be resisted.

So, Trump will launch attacks refuting the election, challenging Hillary Clinton and anything else he can seize upon to create mayhem to elevate himself to King. At the same time, Saturn will deny Trump that goal and stomp on him until he's crushed -- politically and mentally.

And this is all part of the US chart's Rahu Dasa, when America frees itself from the repressive Republican agenda, the 1% and would be dictator king Trump.

Saturn crossing Trump's perceptional Moon 3 times will wreck his presidency. He's already launching new Twitter attacks because his emotional Moon is already so besieged by Saturn. I give him a year before he's forced to step down.

F.B.I. Says It Hasn’t Changed Its Conclusions on Clinton Email Case

The FBI has stain on Clinton is removed.

Unfortunately, this positive news for Hillary Clinton came too late. But, perhaps FBI Director Cony did Hillary Clinton a favor here -- for the president will not be able to resist Rahu Dasa's ripping apart the Second Gilded Age's political, economic and social systems -- to bring a Second Progressive Age, restoring shared democratic values. After all, the Republican Party's repressiveness is not the only problem. The Democratic Party lost its way by abandoning its roots in the middle class and minorities. Both have to go.

Watch what happens over the next few months, and then into Trump's new reign, to see whether this is correct or not. In fact, just watch the next 10 days for all kinds of turmoil. After all, wouldn't the Trump supporters have protested Clinton's win, just as Clinton supporters are protesting Trump?

November 15 Addendum

This November 13 forecasting entry omitted a key prediction made in the November 4 entry,

I applied Ashtakavarga, a multifaceted mathematical system weighing planetary karmas to yield very specific, even precise predictions.

On election day, nearly all of the planets for both candidates were turned off "0" as opposed to turned on "1". The Vedic term for these energy points is Bindus.

The more Bindus a candidate chart has on election day, the more motivated his/her supporters will be to vote. Naturally then, the fewer Bindus indicate less visibility and thereby fewer voters going to the polls.

That indeed happened, Voter turnout at 20-year low in 2016, and is another relative piece of the predictive puzzle. While election officials are still tabulating ballots, the 126 million votes already counted means about 55% of voting age citizens cast ballots this year. That measure of turnout is the lowest in a presidential election since 1996, when 53.5% of voting-age citizens turned out.

The November 13 entry stated, ... just watch the next 10 days for all kinds of turmoil. This results from four malefics - Mars. Saturn, Rahu and Ketu -- locked in mortal combat now. And they hit hard the U.S. chart's second house of domestic harmony, ninth house of luck and fortune and twelfth house of loss.

A Disturbance In The Space Time Continuum

The above November 13 Celestial Wheel entry cautioned,

The Addendum to that forecast expanded upon that concern,

The headlines are already dire. This one stands out, Trump Staff Shake-Up Slows Transition to Near Halt.

I'm pointing to writing this entry, A Disturbance In The Space Time Continuum, in the next day or two.

Here's a current transit chart -- showing where the planets are in today's skies.

{For those of you accustomed to Western Astrology, this is basically the same chart geometry excepting
the shape -- square versus round. In fact, the Vedic chart is much easier to read because
the signs and houses occupy identical spaces and you can easily add the aspects -- glances
the planets make to other sign/house squares. All planets throw (like spears) aspects seven houses away,

across the chart. Mars, Saturn and Jupiter have additional special aspects.}

The natural zodiac is used, which begins with Aries, the first house. It describes global planetary karmas.

This chart looks okay at first glance, excepting the stellium of three planets in evil Scorpio, which is also the evil eighth house in the natural zodiac.

Transit Chart November 17

But, when we add in the aspects, conflicts and harms become visible -- and easily seen in the square Vedic chart format.

Slow cold Saturn throws an aspect to Rahu, bringing misuse of power and victimizing. Saturn's aspect to fast fiery Mars stimulates all kinds of destructions as their opposing slow cold and hot fast energies clash.

The Saturn aspect to Rahu aspect has been going on for many months now, which explains the nature of the presidential campaigns -- and also gives another karma (influence) for Trump winning.

But, the Saturn aspect to Mars is recent, beginning when Mars transited into Capricorn October 31. This brings destructive stresses.

Similarly, then, Mars began aspecting Rahu just a couple of weeks ago. This Mars aspect stimulates Rahu's desire and anger, but when its blocked by slow Saturn's energy, destructive fury erupts.

Transit Chart With Aspects November 17

If we advance this chart day by day, we find that Mars exactly aspects Rahu on November 21 -- this coming Monday. (I removed the house numbers for simplicity.) Also then, the all-important Moon will also have moved into the conjunction with malefic Rahu, where it too is aspects by malefics Mars and Saturn.

You don't have to be an astrologer to see that this is a very bad set of planetary dispositions!

Transit Chart November 21

There are a three more harms in this chart. One, already mentioned, is the stellium in Scorpio. A second harm is that mental Mercury has moved very close to blocking Saturn, which signifies deception and mental stress. A third harm is that Saturn is sitting in Mars-ruled Scorpio and Mars is in Saturn-ruled Capricorn. This situation brings their energies into mutual conflict -- more destructive stresses. (The astrology term is mutual reception and means that they are in full connection, like being conjunct or aspecting each other.) And, the Sun and Mercury are thusly harmed further.

These aspects bode badly for affairs across the globe. The November 13 entry stated they hit hard the U.S. chart's second house of domestic harmony, ninth house of luck and fortune and twelfth house of loss. Ketu was also listed as being involved, and that too comes from the U.S. chart. Putting the November 21 transit chart above to the U.S. chart makes it simple to overlay the former on the latter to see how transiting planets impact this nation chart.

U.S. Chart

The destructive Mars/Saturn energy hits the U.S. second house of domestic harmony and speech, where dissolving Ketu is placed. And look how close Mars is to Ketu, which combination is seething anger. Saturn's influence magnifies that karma.

The transiting Rahu/Moon combination in Leo, afflicted by aspects from Mars and Rahu is the ninth house of luck and fortune, and also philosophy -- ruining the former and making the latter truly bizarre.

The Saturn/Mercury/Sun stellium in Scorpio is the twelfth house of loss in the U.S. chart, which, as discussed is harmed by Mars' energy.

Finally, there's one more thing! Because Ketu and Rahu are always exactly opposite each other in a chart, transit Mars conjunct the U.S. Ketu means that Mars aspects the U.S. Rahu also nearly exactly -- giving another Mars/Rahu desire and anger signification.

This is enough Vedic technical analysis for now. Just be aware the next several days will be fraught with all kinds of destructions.

The next Celestial Wheel entry will overlay the transit chart upon Trump's chart. I believe the resulting energies will so inflame Trump that he will lash out and attack like an enraged bull in a bull fight. But unlike the hapless matadors, others will resist and fight back effectively. While November 21 will be the energy peak here, these next several days leading to next Monday will see these harms actualize in an accumulating way.

Trump In The Space Time Continuum Disturbance

The November 17, A Disturbance In The Space Time Continuum, stated,

This is also a combination for great violence. The Deepwater Horizon oil spill began April 20, 2010. Then, the U.S. Dasas (planetary cycles) were Mars, Rahu, Moon, Saturn, Saturn. Mars was transiting the eighth house of catastrophe fairly close to birth chart Rahu.

(Note: Dasas are the primary karma, and transits are secondary karma which act

as catalysts -- timing indicators.)

However, the U.S. chart Dasas are not so tough now being Rahu, Saturn, Ketu, Venus, Rahu -- no Mars. Plus, Mars' conjunction with Ketu is in the second house of domestic harmony. He only aspects birth chart Rahu in the eight of calamity and transit Rahu in the ninth house of luck and fortune. It's true that eighth house ruler, Moon, will be in the ninth, but overall, there should not be a major physical disaster, like an oil spill.

Below are the world transit chart for November 21 and Trump's chart.

Transit Mars is in Trump's sixth house of enemies and fighting, where it's exalted. But recall Mars is tangled up with Saturn in his fourth house of the emotions, where his crazy Moon is also placed. Transit Mars aspects his twelfth house of loss where Saturn is placed (stress), and also his first house of the self, where his fighting birth chart Mars is placed and emotionally frail Moon is transiting.

Transits November 21, 2016

Donald Trump

Remember Trump is newly (11/14/16) in his tremendously powerful and optimistic Jupiter Dasa, which makes him feel both invincible and as a king. However, this new Dasa started just a few days ago and thereby is just beginning to bring karma -- influence. So, his optimism is more subjective and objective. Too, if his birth time is just two minutes late, he would still be in his greedy/aggressive Rahu with Mars Dasa.

The challenging transits then, bring enemies and fire up his aggression, while making his emotions even more unstable than usual.

Expect he'll have a war on his hands Monday, and that he'll perceive this as a personal attack, reacting with irrational vengeance. Trump will misuse his personal power and also the power and authority of his pending presidency.

November 27, 2016 (1st entry)

Results From A Disturbance In The Space Time Continuum

The (above) November 17 entry, A Disturbance In The Space Time Continuum, explained that, by including planetary aspects (glances from planets in the signs to other signs), several potent clashes of malefic energy are revealed. These clashes began in early November and peaked out Monday, November 21 -- as shown in the below transit chart for that date. (The all-important Moon began transiting into Leo Sunday afternoon)

In summary, major malefics are in combative dispositions. Saturn and Mars both aspect Rahu, stimulating misuse of power, victimizing, desire, anger and destructive fury. Saturn and Mars are locked together, bringing destructive stresses.

Space Time Continuum Disturbance Continues

Although the combination of malefic planet clashes bringing a Disturbance In The Space Time Continuum peaked this past Monday, these harmful dispositions continue for months.

Here again is the chart for Monday, November 21,

Transits November 21, 2016

Again, the harmful dispositions are Saturn and Mars both aspecting Rahu -- victimizing -- and Mars and Saturn locked together for being in each others' signs -- destructive stress.

Saturn and Rahu both move very slowly, which results in Saturn continuing to aspect Rahu until the end of January 2017. So victimizing continues.

The other major issue is Mars in Capricorn. There, he sits in a Saturn-ruled sign with Saturn sitting in a Mars-ruled sign. Being in each others' signs is called mutual reception and means they are connected to each other --bringing all kinds of destructive stress. Too, Mars aspects Rahu -- destructive fury.

Mars transits a sign in about 45 days. He moved into Capricorn November 1 and will exit that sign December 11. But, Mars' harms to Saturn and Rahu won't end then! Mars will shift into Aquarius, the other signed ruled by Saturn. And, Mars will continue to aspect Rahu. So, the conflict among these three great malefics continues until Mars leaves Aquarius January 20.

Transits December 19, 2017

Note too that Mars and Saturn both aspect Taurus -- increasing destructive stress from their dissonant energies. Further, the emotional Moon will be in Leo that day. And see the "R" next to Mercury? -- that's a newly begun confusing Mercury retrograde.

seated January 3, and the Presidential inauguration is January 20.)

Recall that for Trump, Scorpio is is fourth house of the emotions and Capricorn his sixth house of enemies. Saturn/Mars influences in the fourth house by making him emotionally over-sensitive and volatile, and in the sixth Saturn/Mars brings enemies -- whom he fights ferociously.

The only thing presidential here is the suit.

Another issue is that slow Saturn continues to creep up on Trump's Ketu and public Moon. The chart above shows Saturn at 25:51 degrees. His Ketu is at 27:41 and Moon at 28:05. At this proximity, their energies intertwine. Solid Saturn is dissolved by tail-of-the-dragon Ketu, and Saturn blankets the Moon, transforming the life, "Since it is Saturn’s essential purpose to temper the soul, it attacks our weak points to broaden and define the scope of our character, driving us to maturity." Also, "Saturn is the destroyer and the creator - he destroys that which is no longer needed to make room for the new."

When Mars shifts into Aquarius, that will be Trump's seventh house of the social nature and business -- making him so rough and uncooperative, he'll break relationships like a wrestler with a folding chair. Naturally, continuing his business activities and bringing his children into the government, will be mounting issues. The Saturn and Mars aspects to Taurus is his tenth house of career, where his ruling Sun is placed. There must be career stress/setbacks from that.
