The most recent Celestial Wheel entries have discussed Rahu finishing up its transit in Cancer -- hitting hard the U.S. chart and even more destructively, Trump's.  See the January 29, 2019 A New Dawn to refresh your memory.

That entry celebrated the conjunction of the three finest benefic planets -- Moon, Jupiter and Venus,  It's a new dawn now with the November 2018 midterm elections giving the Democrats control of the House -- and already their first victory by holding firm against Trump's border wall funding.  This graphic is from Earthsky.org's article Moon Slides by three morning planets.

Paying close attention to the graphic, you can see that restrictive Saturn is the third planet -- the great malefic bringing losses, delays and suffering of all kinds. You can also see Venus, the planet of love and grace, is closest to Saturn. And as Venus moves quickly through a sign in about 30 days, she will next cross Saturn.

Here's the transit chart (where planets are in today's skies) for today.  It shows Venus at 10 degrees, approaching Saturn at 21 degrees.  Venus will be closely conjunct Saturn mid month -- just when Congress is tasked to find a compromise bill on Trump's wall, along with other border security issues, and keeping the government open.

Transits February 7, 2019

This Venus/Saturn conjunction is negative for agreement, especially since Venus symbolizes cooperation and compassion -- for Saturn is the opposite in its separative influence.

For Trump, the Venus/Saturn conjunction is especially negative.  In his chart, below, you can see transit Saturn and transit Venus in his fifth house of the mind, children and past life credit (a type of luck).  All are harmed.

Notice also that transit Rahu remains close to his birth chart Venus and is closing in on his birth chart Saturn. Venus is his career planet, as well as his planet symbolizing close associates and daily desires. Saturn is his planet of sociability, job and enemies. All these significations are also under duress.

Donald Trump

Since transit Venus is harmed by Saturn and birth chart Venus is attacked by Rahu, both Venus influences in his chart are under siege.  It appears, then, that whatever Congress does, or not, by February 15, will not result in Trump being able to finance his wall. Then, of course, because his back is against the wall with his base, he'll be forced to declare a national emergency to build the wall. And that route will surely fail as well.  Any victory he may have will certainly be pyrrhic, likely even a poison pill.

This, then, is a continuation of Trump insisting upon playing the losing hand of building a wall on the southern border to feed his craven, racist base.

By the time Rahu finishes in Cancer March 22, Trump will have suffering debilitating losses -- not just the wall battle but also investigations and other losses such as China and North Korea...  The political world will have a new landscape as a cold and bitter winter finally begins yielding to spring.

Venus will exactly conjoin Saturn tomorrow -- Monday.   Then Saturn's harms to Venus will gradually fall away.

The January 29 A New Dawn ended with a teaser,

The entry title may be prescient in suggesting the beginning of Trump's ending and thereby a new dawn coming.  Certainly we've seen some glimpses of this, most notably the Green New Deal -- finally an effective and timely platform for the Second Progressive Age.

Below is a chart showing Mercury's travels into Pisces, then back to Aquarius and finally back into Pisces.

Transits February 20, 2019

This lists Mercury's complex movement backwards and forward through two signs.

Enters Pisces (fallen sign) -- February 25
Begins retrograde -- March 6
Reverses back to Aquarius -- March 14
Ends retrograde -- March 28
Moves forward into Pisces again -- April 11
Leaves Pisces May 3

For Trump, Pisces is his eighth house of calamity, where Mercury will cause him to blurt out all kinds of truly outlandish claims and threats.  He will be be beyond outrageous.  Further, Mercury being his planet of goals, friends and groups, all will be harmed, and likely then bring Trump harm.  Finally, as the eighth house of secrets, this fallen (weak) Mercury (communications) will expose them.

There will be a lot going on during this interval to May 3 -- too much to delve into here.

However, the major planetary karma for Trump involves Rahu leaving Cancer March 22 -- discussed several times in earlier Celestial Wheel entries.  This backward-moving planet is currently at 2:12 Cancer, as shown in the above chart.  During the final weeks before that sign change, Rahu will beat on Trump's 00:24 Saturn (less than 1 degree).  Harmful karmas are: open and hidden enemies and twelfth house losses.  These enemies include both domestic and foreign, especially those in twelfth house's far and distant places -- like China and North Korea.  Note Trump's upcoming meetings with North Korean Um and China's XI are in this time frame.  His belligerence at being blocked will fuel and amplify his outlandish claims, which can result in dangerous presidential actions as he careens around, under siege and cornered.

We can only hope Trump's domestic enemies will contain him and restrain truly damaging actions.  Certainly his secrets revealed, along problems with friends and groups, indicate his slavish Republican friends will abandon him -- rats leaving a sinking ship.  And the bureaucracy will hold firm.  Add abandonment to Trump's problems.

These karmas are just for March.  April will be a continuation as head-of-the-dragon eclipse point Rahu and Ketu -- the dragon's tail -- change signs.  Ketu will attack transit Saturn in Trump's fifth house of the mind and children.  Both will under tremendous stress, enough to shatter.

Enough for now.  Let's see what transpires until March 22 for Trump.  And keep in mind, this transit Mercury impacts everyone everywhere.  So brace yourself for the weakened calculating mind and nervous system to cause stress.  Take it easy on yourself and others.

Mercury, the planet of the calculating mind, communications, and skill, just transited into Pisces -- its fallen, and thereby weak, sign.

When weak, Mercury results in many mental ills, including: foolishness, gullibility, childish reactions, communications foul-ups, forgetfulness, memory lapses, lies, exaggerations, misplacing things, financial mistakes, calculation errors, speaking and writing errors, confusions, nervousness, accidents, dropping breaking and losing things.  In governing the physical areas of the nervous system, respiratory system, skin and addictions, these are all harmed.  Mercury is also cats, causing them to act even more bizarre and whine annoyingly for no reason at all.  And since cats can see into other dimensions, don't be surprised if Miss Kitty chases imaginary mice!

So, if you have the winter cold that's going around, it will linger, you'll have difficulty choosing the best medications, and you may even place a sign in your back yard, Don't walk where you spit.

I already had a prescription refill problem.  The drug store's fax on Friday wasn't sent to the doctor until Sunday.  And my girlfriend's attempt at a simple blood test failed because the lab couldn't understand the doctor's order.  So both of us are awaiting medical treatments -- with no assurances when these will be done and whether they will be correct!

Planetary weakness also results from retrograde motion -- when the backward movement disables a planet's ability to act assertively.  In fact, planetary weakness from a fallen sign placement and retrograde can be indistinguishable.  This is especially true for Mercury, since it is by definition mutable, like the metal mercury is unique in being liquid.  However, Mercury, being communications, does do an interesting and unique thing when retrograde -- bringing information from the past.

This transit chart in the February 20 Another Detonation In 5 Days shows Mercury weak from being both in its fallen sign and retrograde.  To make matters worse, this Mercury travels through two signs -- first Pisces, then into Aquarius and finally back into Pisces.  Because the sign placement of planet influences its behavior, this adds a another trying mental dimension.

To again an understanding of these Mercury weaknesses and energetic shifts, pay attention to the listing from the February 20 entry's listing of its complex movement,

Enters Pisces (fallen sign) -- February 25

Shouldn't we expect, then, lots and lots of weak Mercury trials and tribulations the next five weeks or so?  Yes.  The February 20 entry would have been more accurate with the title More Detonations In 5 Days.

My mechanical girlfriend, who is not an astrology believer, is busy as I write this entry trying to fix the spring on the garden trash can lid.  It worked once but will certainly break lose, either smashing the lid into her chin or flinging the steel spring at the cat.
