COVID Ramifications

Although we're all long past done with COVID, the virus is not yet done with humanity.

Most folks don't wear masks now, including indoors, where virus concentrations are highest.  They feel safe with vaccinations. Or, having having already had COVID, they believe the virus is like the seasonal flu......  Even doctors offices and other medical facilities have eliminated precautions in most cases.  Family doctors, who care for patient's daily lives, now say,
Go live your life.  I told my doctor I would take my mask off when he takes his off.

Here's a NY Times article offering comprehensive COVID information  Coronavirus in the U.S.: Latest Map and Case Count.  States, counties... are included in what is truly a compendium.   Take a look at where you live to see cases, deaths....

But surely by now, everyone knows people who have been infected and has experienced COVID repercussions that disrupt their lives.  Some issues, like supply chains, have been common for so long, we don't even notice them.  Well, you certainly would in Texas, where higher natural gas prices result from a number of factors, including  the oil and gas industry isn’t seeing major production growth because of a backlog of orders for vital equipment due to supply chain issues stemming from the pandemic.  Of course, Texans, and everyone else, has to pay inflated gasoline prices too, which relates in part to natural gas and oil output increases being held back.

Even The Celestial Wheel took a big hit recently.  On June 7, I contacted my Macbook Air computer shop owner for a minor repairs for composing and publishing new forecasts. and he held me off for a week because he was so busy.  Lots of people are moving here working from home -- both COVID driven.  The last I had written, the June 2 A Hard Read, was emailed but not posted to the web.  On June 14 I took the computer to his shop, only to find out later in the week he came down with COVID the June 15!  I picked up the computer two days ago, posted the June 2 forecast and finally today write a new entry.  The tech would have not been in a jam, except his ace technician came down with COVID last winter and took an early retirement.  He couldn't come back to help out the shop because he had long COVID and suffered a stroke.

I was stuck for a month with only a crummy Levono, which couldn't do any Celestial Wheel work.

I'm sure that all of you have been hit with COVID inspired problems like this, but it is a clear example.  Of course, my cardiologist dying from COVID February 17, because he thought Jesus would save him and he didn't mask up, is even crazier.  I couldn't get cleared for minor surgery until I got a new cardiologist!

Trying to get caught up now, the June 2 A Hard Read explained,

In the meantime, don't forget that following is the Mars/Rahu conjunction in fiery Aries -- June 27 to the end of July.  This promises all kinds of violences -- some natural like heatwaves, wildfires, hurricanes and flooding.  Others will be man made, and we can only guess now that July may see the cult of Trump beginning to break apart.  Both public opinion and government enforcement against these crimes come into play.

Here are two charts showing this really challenging conjunction.

This chart for today shows Mars is well into Aries, and the closer he gets to toxic Rahu, the more this planet of war, discords, infectious disease, explosions, fires.... will be inflamed by Rahu.  That's because this eclipse point, head-of-the-dragon acts to intensify planets it comes in contact with.

July 7, 2022

This chart for July 24 shows Mars getting close to Rahu's fiery dragon breath.  Also, as Mars throws an aspect four houses away, he strikes Cancer, where the Sun and Mercury will be in transit.  This will add reversals in government (Sun), communications (Mercury) and business (Sun with Mercury.)  As Cancer is a water sign, expect hurricanes and other flooding during the last half of July.  Further, malevolent Saturn aspects Cancer as well.  The planet of loss and suffering must exacerbate Mars' karmas.

July 24, 2022

The kicker, though, is this Mars aspect influence on Cancer is the eighth house of calamity in the U.S. -- chart below.  (Just overlay the July 24 chart on the U.S. chart to see this.)  Hurricanes are even more strongly supported.  But so is America's mystical paranoia, for that's what Rahu (foreigners and strange philosophies) brings with Mercury (communications) in the eighth.  Further, Saturn in the second house of domestic harmony turns any remaining joy into anger and frustration.

United States

Yet, as Only through turmoil comes change, there can be a silver lining, perhaps even more than one.  Trumpism's violent supporters will be even more outraged, and outrageous, and January 6 committee hearings can complete turning the tide against Trumpism.  Major natural disasters can serve to pull the country together, reversing the tearing apart of society we've experienced.

As stated many times in The Celestial Wheel,
Let's see what happens.  In the meantime, we're all itching to travel, but perhaps later this summer will be safer.

Focus On Summer/Fall Mars

This summer/fall Mars/Rahu conjunction is the dominant karma so far in 2022.  It has been discussed in The Celestial Wheel a few times, and below are excepts to refresh your memory -- as well as recite all the specific predictions.

The Mars/Rahu conjunction in Aries was first discussed in the May 25 Jupiter/Mars Conjunction & More!,

...Mars to attack Rahu, the head-of-the-dragon eclipse point, which both moves slowly (18 months in a sign) and goes backwards.  This is a nasty combination -- virulent.  Mars will be with Rahu in Aries June 26 to the end of July.  And Mars will be within the four degree range for damaging Rahu -- and visa versa -- at the end of that month.  So the energy will build during the entire month of July.  That's why this entry is titled Mars/Jupiter Conjunction & More.  All kinds of violences, including hurricanes, should be expected then.  Also, since Mars/Rahu conjunction happens in fiery Aries, expect fires to erupt.

The June 2 A Hard Read discussed both COVID and the Mars/Rahu conjunction again, stating,

Both public opinion and government enforcement against these crimes come into play.

...Also, as Mars throws an aspect four houses away, he strikes Cancer, where the Sun and Mercury will be in transit.

The July 7 COVID Ramifications discussed both COVID and yet again the Mars/Rahu conjunction, which is already happening.  This chart for today shows Mars is well into Aries, and the closer he gets to toxic Rahu, the more this planet of war, discords, infectious disease, explosions, fires.... will be inflamed by Rahu.  Included was the below chart for July 24, which shows Mars closing in on Rahu and also aspecting (glancing upon) Cancer, plus Saturn aspecting Cancer.  (Note, as this analysis is just transits, this discussion so far is for global conditions.)

Now we consider  the U.S. chart, which is on the right, below.

By overlaying the July 24 transit chart on the U.S. birth chart, you can see how transit Mars' aspect hits the U.S. chart.  This is the killer concept, Hurricanes are even more strongly supported.  But so is America's mystical paranoia, for that's what Rahu (foreigners and strange philosophies) brings with Mercury (communications) in the eighth.  Further, Saturn in the second house of domestic harmony turns any remaining joy into anger and frustration.  This last has fired up the racist anger on the hard white right, which group is trying desperately to hold on to its dominant position in an increasingly multiracial society.  (Note, slow Saturn has been in Capricorn since mid January 2020.  It's been a long 2 1/2 years!)

United States Birth Chart

Recall that in Vedic Astrology Dasas (planetary cycles) are the underlying karma and have up to five levels in descending importance.  Transits (where the planets are in today's skies) are secondary.  Dasas are analogous to the river of life and transits are weather on the river.  Your boat journey down the river is naturally impacted by both.  And here is the key to how these work together -- When Dasas and transits match up, accurate and reliable predictions can be made.  (Note, Western Astrology has no such predictive method.  That astrology truly only uses transits for prediction.  Progressions and other Western techniques stretch the boundaries of reliability.)

So, given the July analysis for transit Mars in Aries has been exhaustively covered, let's consider the U.S. Dasas.  In that regard, the May 25 Jupiter/Mars Conjunction & More! also stated,

Given that the U.S. chart's Dasas (planetary cycles) are the very rough combination of Rahu and Saturn from January 5, 2021 to November 12, 2023, this underlying karma will continue to bring tremendous aggressions, relentlessness, victimizing, abusive behaviors and actions and emotions as cold and unforgiving as ice.  To accentuate again how difficult this combination is, remember it began one day before the January 6 insurrection.

As explained, the challenging transits are the destructive malefics Mars, Rahu and Saturn -- which naturally bring tough results with newsworthy impacts.  The Sun and Mercury are also involved here but are not as important.

Here are the Dasas for the U.S. chart to four levels.  Let's see how they match up with the operative transit planets,

It looks like the period until July 24 is very rough.  Certainly COVID, wildfires, drownings and other violences are already happening.  The last week of the month finds benefic Jupiter at the fourth level, which can help a little but truly only mitigate harms.  That's why it feels like there will be multiple hurricanes at the end of the month but none will be huge catastrophes.

Considering August, September and October -- which is prime hurricane season and also worst for drought and fires -- nothing cataclysmic shows up.  The end of October looks difficult for Mars attacking the U.S. chart's seventh house of relationship in Gemini. The November midterm elections will be affected, but today's entry doesn't look that far ahead.

While Trump's chart hasn't been analyzed here, you should know Cancer is his twelfth house of loss.  So, he's taking heat this month.  Also, Mars will attack his Rahu and egotistical Sun in Taurus in late October, retrograde and then cross over them again just after the election.  It's looks like he'll be blown up!

This Hot Summer

The July 13 Focus On Summer/Fall Mars discussed Mars in Aries conjoining Rahu beginning June 24.  They will be exactly conjunct August 1.  Mars will end this sign conjunction in fiery Aries with Rahu on August 10.

All kinds of harms are indicated by eclipse point Rahu intensifying warrior Mars' energy.  These were predicted in previous Celestial Wheel entries and listed in the aforementioned July 13 Focus On Summer/Fall Mars.  Forecasted natural disasters globally were for: violence, hurricanes, fires, heatwaves and flooding.  (Obviously, heatwaves have come forward first.)

Specific disasters in the U.S. were predicted: all of the above natural disasters, the cult of Trump beginning to break apart and reversals in government and business.  Abetted by Saturn newly in Capricorn (the U.S. second house of domestic harmony), America's mystical paranoia brings racist anger.  We've certainly already seen these trending in the news.

This transit chart for July 24 has been used repeatedly because it shows Mars closing in on Rahu, Mars' aspects to the Sun and Mercury in Cancer and Saturn's aspect to Cancer.

Transits July 24, 2022

Fast moving Mercury and the Sun will switch out of Cancer, and Venus will move into that sign.  But these are minor changes that truly don't change the thrust and depth of the planetary karmas.

July 24, then, isn't a peak for destructive planetary karma -- either globally or just for the U.S.  Consider that, as stated above, Mars/Rahu will be exactly conjunct August 1.  Mars will end this sign conjunction in fiery Aries with Rahu on August 10.  Certainly the energy between Mars and Rahu will increase as they approach exact conjunction August 1.  And with the conjunction continuing well into August (the 10th) the energy, even though declining, will still be highly destructive.

In other words, as we proceed through July with Mars/Rahu energy building to their exact conjunction August 1, more predictions will actualize, and those already appearing can become worse.  From August 1 to 10, destructive events can continue, even with weaker Mars/Rahu energy.  In this regard, we need to consider that some events last longer than others.  A tornado is over in minutes, but hurricanes can last weeks, sometimes over a month.  Similarly, floods can be long lasting, as are fires, heat waves and the western drought.  This last won't likely break soon for it relates to a long term trend and climate change.

However, we can use the all-important Moon for timing.  Earthsky.org's Visible planets and night sky: late July and August 2022 includes this graphic show the Moon passing through (counter clockwise) Mars tonight through Friday.  You can't see Rahu because it's an eclipse point, called a Chaya Graha -- shadow planet.

However, the Vedic chart naturally displays Rahu.  This chart for today similarly shows the Moon approaching Mars (clockwise) and thereby also approaching Rahu.  Thursday, July 21 will see the Moon passing Mars and being sandwiched between Mars and Rahu.  By Friday mid afternoon, the Moon will have passed out of this danger zone into Taurus.

As the Moon is perception and the benefits in life, expect a lot of reflexive emotional actions and reactions -- and certainly a rip roaring January 6 final public hearing at 8 PM EDT.  Because the Moon will remain in Aries until mid afternoon Friday, there will be a lot of noise Friday, some unfortunately likely violent.

Somehow, the first stanza of old 1966 song, Summer In The City comes to mind,

Hot town, summer in the city
Back of my neck getting dirty and gritty
Been down, isn't it a pity?
Doesn't seem to be a shadow in the city
All around, people looking half dead
Walking on the sidewalk, hotter than a match head

Mars' Finale In Aries

Recent Celestial Wheel entries have focused upon Mars' damaging transit through Aries with Rahu.  The July 20 This Hot Summer offers the most current detail -- including summarizing the natural and man made harms caused by forward Mars ramming into backwards motion Rahu -- the head-of-the-dragon eclipse point.

There are five periods fundamental to this dangerous celestial passage.

1.  Dates of Mars' transit through Aries -- June 24 to August 10

2.  Mars within striking distance of Rahu of 4 degrees -- July 27 through August 1  (Think of Ukrainian artillery moving close enough to the front to fire)

3.  Exact conjunction -- August 1

4.  Moon passes Mars and Rahu -- July 21, 22

5.  Mars past Rahu but still in Aries -- August 2 through August 10

Several of these predictions are already coming true, like heatwaves, fires and flooding -- At least 1 killed as record rainfall causes widespread flash flooding in St. Louis area

While the entire transit passage is difficult, the most severe is #2 -- Mars within striking distance of Rahu of 4 degrees -- July 27 through August 1.  Today begins that interval.

Seeing the world through Vedic eyes can sometimes be truly revealing about planetary energies.  Recent wild animal attacks have spiked -- some bizarre.  Mars is animals, and Rahu's intensifying nature brings attacks by large predators normally harmless to man.  (This has happened in the past, but Google Search on the World Events Forecasting page, that used to bring up key words in earlier forecasts, isn't working properly.)  That these attacks are both numerous and weird gives an indication of how destructive the Mars/Rahu transit is.

100-pound sailfish leaps out of water, stabs woman on boat off Florida coast

Woman attacked by seal while swimming in Hawaii

Hunt for wild monkey ramps up after aggressive animal attacks 18 people in past 10 days  (Japan)

Pennsylvania Man Who Was Strangled by 18-Foot Boa Constrictor Has Died

Man Filmed Punching Corpse of Leopard That Was Killed for Attacking Ranger  (South Africa)

6 shark attacks in NY and Florida -- Orlando man bitten by shark in Daytona Beach; 6th bite of the year

4+ alligator attacks -- A man suffers 'serious injuries' after being attacked by an alligator in Florida

If I missed any, let me know.  In the meantime, use care the next several days -- until at least August 1.
