Mars Finishing In Aries

Recent Celestial Wheel entries have focused upon fiery Mars' transit through fiery Aries with Rahu, from which Mars aspects watery Cancer.  The July 27 Mars' Finale In Aries summed up the discussion and predictions for this tough transit beginning Jun 26 and ending August 10.

Below are the predictions,

Forecasted natural disasters globally were for: violence, hurricanes, fires, heatwaves and flooding.  (Obviously, heatwaves have come forward first.)

Specific disasters in the U.S. were predicted: all of the above natural disasters, the cult of Trump beginning to break apart and reversals in government and business.  Abetted by Saturn newly in Capricorn (the U.S. second house of domestic harmony), America's mystical paranoia brings racist anger.  We've certainly already seen these trending in the news.

Ordinarily The Celestial Wheel withholds validating predictions until the entire forecasted interval is over.  Making new predictions for upcoming intervals is similarly delayed.  In this case, however, it feels right to do both.

The peak intensity of Mars ramming into Rahu was July 27 through their exact conjunction August 1.  This NASA image for July 25-31 flooding is both dramatic and fits that prediction -- Extreme Rainfall Leads To Midwest Flooding.

The July 27 Mars' Finale In Aries explained the disruptive influence abates but continues, Mars past Rahu but still in Aries -- August 2 through August 10.  Illinois was hit hard this past Thursday, and Death Valley, the driest place in America, had a major flash flood on Monday, and a second record breaking one just yesterday.

Don't forget the heat waves that rolled across the country during the latter half of July.

Of course, one couldn't miss Trump MAGA cult scandals blazing across the headlines.  There are just too many to recite.

It is worthwhile noting that Saharan dust blowing westward across the Atlantic Ocean has depressed hurricane formation.  The result is high heat energy in the Atlantic, Caribbean and Gulf of Mexico has been bottled up and continues to increase.  Plus, without any tropical storms of any kind drawing on this heat, any upcoming storms will have an even hotter marine caldron from which to draw.  So, the absence of hurricanes early this hurricane season sets the stage for later summer/fall hurricanes to be more powerful.  Further, Saharan dust fertilizes the Gulf of Mexico, which stimulates red tide.  It certainly seems like the dust giving a respite from mid summer hurricanes will boomerang back with even more destructive results.  Since Rahu is the head-of-the-dragon, perhaps we should call this dust dragon breath.

Upcoming is Mars' transit through Taurus.  There's a Mars retrograde coming up, complicating his journey through Taurus, and also slightly into Gemini.  This chart for August 10 shows Mars' movements.

Transits August 10, 2022

And here's a listing of those Mars movements,

August 10  enters Taurus
October 16  enters Gemini
October 30  turns retrograde in Gemini
November 13  retrogrades back into Taurus
January 11 ends retrograde

This detail is provided because Mars will hit Trump's chart hard.  The July 13 Focus On Summer/Fall Mars explained, first why Mars' current aspect to Cancer harms Trump and second why Mars in Taurus will be devastating to him.

While Trump's chart hasn't been analyzed here, you should know Cancer is his twelfth house
of loss.  So, he's taking heat this month.  Also, Mars will attack his Rahu and egotistical
Sun in Taurus in late October, he'll retrograde and then cross over them again just after the election.
It's looks like he'll be blown up!

Keep in mind Trump is greatly weakened by this summer's Mars transit through Aries.  Now, overlaying the above August 10 transit chart on Trump's birth chart, you can easily see (arrows) Mars will be attacking his Rahu and Sun (self) during the calendar months of October and November.  And the midterm elections are November 8!

The Celestial Wheel has long posited that Trump destroys both political parties and then blows himself up.  Well, at the very least, it's gonna be very noisy!

Upcoming Celestial Wheel entries will consider more details in this Mars transit over Trump's chart.

In closing, now you can understand why today's entry is timely.

Transit Lull

The August 6 Mars Finishing In Aries confirmed that the predictions made for god of storms Mars' transit through Aries June 26 through August 10 were proving out, even as the interval was not yet complete.  Both natural and man made disasters/violences had rained upon the earth and the affairs of humanity.  These have been flooding, fires and heat waves, along with Trump MAGA cult scandals blazing across the headlines.

That forecast was made prematurely -- before August 10 -- due to the predictions being validated and to explain that Mars' upcoming transit through Taurus is terrible for Trump -- Mars will be attacking his Rahu and Sun (self) during the calendar months of October and November. ... The Celestial Wheel has long posited that Trump destroys both political parties and then blows himself up.  Well, at the very least, it's gonna be very noisy!

Then, just two days later on August 8, the FBI raided Mar a Lago finding and carting away about a dozen boxes of government documents, many classified.  That's obviously a monumental event which also obviously and most fortunately further advances the prediction for Trump's self destruction.  After all, he did this to himself by taking the documents to Mar a Lago and not returning them upon first request and then subpoena demand.  Yet, this is no excuse for breaking one of the two fundamental rules of predictions -- no prediction verification until the sensitive interval is over.  Of course, hindsight predictions aren't allowed either.  I apologize for that mistake.

Yet, there wasn't much happening in Trump's chart August 8.  That suggests the raid was just the kickoff to a longer term offensive against him -- that will likely culminate late in Mars' Taurus transit -- notably October and November.  Again from the August 6 Mars Finishing In Aries,

Now that the Mar a Largo raid has been put into context, this forecast entry,
Transit Lull, can be addressed.  Vedic planetary cycles (Dasas) are the underlying karma, and transits, where the planets are in today's skies, are secondary.  The analogy of Dasas being the river of life and transits weather events on that river, has been used many times in The Celestial Wheel and is particularly applicable here.

While it's true that when Dasas and transits match up, accurate predictions can be made, it's also true that Dasas and transits are different kinds of planetary energies.  Dasas, being the influences that turn on the planets, chart the course of the life -- giving very deep and often transformational karmas.  Transits are more worldly and temporary influences -- planets passing overhead to gaze upon the signs and upon individual charts.  They are thus most useful in world (mundane) astrology to describe natural events.

Mars transiting Aries was a Vedic textbook example of this planet of storms signaling major weather events -- in  fiery Aries (where transit Rahu was transiting) and aspecting watery Cancer (where the Sun, Mercury and Venus were also transiting).

Below is the transit chart for July 24, which has been used repeatedly to illustrate this Mars transit.  Notice, of course, that Saturn, the great malefic, is also aspecting Cancer, which adds to the destruction.  But, slow Saturn acts by attrition, not action, which is what Mars does.  (In medical astrology, Mars is acute illness and infections and Saturn is chronic illness.  Mars kills fast and Saturn slowly.)

Transits July 24, 2020

Below is the chart for today showing Mars in Taurus.  I've added Mars' three aspects (glances), which don't strike any planets.  (Mercury in Leo moves very fast, allowing it to get out of the way.  AS means Ascendant point, which is just a location, not a planet.)

Transits August 14, 2022

So, even as Saturn continues to aspect watery Cancer, Mars isn't stirring up natural events like we experienced when he was transiting Aries -- June 26 to August 10.  That doesn't mean disasters -- heat, fires, flooding, drought, hurricanes... -- won't occur this summer through mid fall.  It just means Mars isn't signaling major or tumultuous ones for the next few months.

However, I'm still glad I bought a generator.  There are lots of reasons the power can go out -- both natural disasters and civil unrest.

There certainly will be more political and economic events coming forward, but that's another forecast.

Dog Days

The August 14 Transit Lull discussed the nature of transit energy via Mars that was aggressive earlier this summer,

Then, of course, Mars' transit-causing natural events have calmed after August 10,

For a potent visual proof of this energetic change, look at this below image of major flooding from the August 6 Mars Finishing In Aries

July 25-31 flooding

Now, look at this Accuweather radar image for today showing most light rain (green) with some moderate (yellow) and just a spot of heavy (red).

Accuweather radar 8/21/2022

Actually, Mars isn't the only planet with reduced energy now.  Here's the transit chart for August 14 from the
August 14 Transit Lull entry showing god of storms Mars almost benign in Taurus with its three aspects (glances) harmlessly hitting empty signs.

Transits August 14, 2020

Below is the transit chart updated to today.  Notice the eclipse points Rahu (Ra) and Ketu (Ke) are alone in their signs and thus do not afflict other planets with their eclipsing energies.  See too that the big planets, Jupiter (Ju) and Saturn (Sa), are retrograde (R).  This weakens them by making their energy latent.  Retrograde causes benefic Jupiter to lose its ability to to good, and for malefic Saturn, it's ability to do harm.

In a very real sense, then, retrograde holds back benefic planets, making them less favorable but still positive.  And retrograde reduces the harms malefic planets bring, hence actually improving them.  (This is somewhat simplified for even the worst malefic planets hold positive karmas -- like Saturn is organization, and retrograde results in disorganization.)  Thereby, although Saturn does aspect Jupiter in Pisces, Venus in Cancer and Ketu in Libra, these are rockets that don't explode but rather hit the ground with a relatively harmless thud.

Transits August 21, 2020

The planets as a group are thereby in an energetic lull.  Here are the applicable dates:

Mars in Taurus                          August 10 -- October 16
Jupiter retrograde                      July 29 --  November 24
Saturn retrograde                          June 5 --  October 23

Taken together, the next couple of months this year until mid November are astrological dog days -- the heat and doldrums of August.  That's where the title of this entry, Dog Days, comes from.  Astronomically, it's when Sirius, the dog star, first comes up over the horizon on August 12.  There's a wealth of information about ancient cultures using this date -- going all the way back to ancient Egypt.  Then, Sirius' rising indicated the beginning of the rainy season.  For our purposes, the below seems a better fit for including global warming.

The U.S. Through The Fall

The August 21 Dog Days explained that malefic planets in relatively harmless positions (Mars, Rahu and Ketu), plus weakening retrogrades of malefic Saturn and benefic Jupiter had calmed the celestial skies -- an energetic lull.  (Remember transits are general influences.  They describe global background energy.  That's why The Celestial Wheel often refers to transit charts as world transits.  Transits, of course, also impact specific charts of people and nations.  In these charts, transits are secondary-karma to the chart's primary-karma Dasas -- planetary cycles.)

Here's the transit schedule and further below the world transit chart for today illustrating these planetary positions,

Mars in Taurus*                          August 10 -- October 16
Rahu in Aries & Ketu in Libra do not afflict other planets
Jupiter retrograde                      July 29 --  November 24
Saturn retrograde                          June 5 --  October 23

World Transit Chart August 21, 2022

(*As shown in the below transit chart in the August 6, Mars Finishing In Aries, Mars will enter the next sign, Gemini, October 17, turn retrograde October 30, re-enter Taurus November 13 and return to forward motion mid January.

)

Today's forecast analyzes the U.S. chart with regard to the birth chart itself,  primary-karma Dasas (planetary cycles) and secondary-karma transits.

United States July 4, 1776 @ 6:17 PM Philadelphia

Summary interpretations for U.S. chart planets are,

Rahu in the eighth -- dives into depths to dredge up dark, secreted and violent karmas.  Unhappy.
Saturn in the tenth -- unscrupulous officials, unhappy/fearful citizenry, manipulation for gain, harsh speech.
Moon in the third -- intense emotions, intoxicated with power, calamities.
Mars in the seventh -- aggressive, immoral, corrupt, loss from impulse.

The United States Dasas to three levels are,

August 25 to  November 18  Rahu/Saturn/Moon
November 19 to January 19  Rahu/Saturn/
Mars

As the Dasas turn on the planetary lights, we can see the lineup of Rahu/Saturn/Moon is rough if we only consider each planet singly.  If we further combine these influences, a relentless pushing ahead and victimizing energy results, which is emotionally taxing.  The lineup of Rahu/Saturn/Mars is even more challenging in its destructiveness.

Remember again, transits are secondary karma and act as catalysts, or actuators -- turning the Dasa planets' significations into action.  The current transit lull thereby withholds major events until late October.  On October 23 Saturn will turn forward to unleash its loss and suffering upon the Dasa lineup of Rahu/Saturn/Moon (August 25 to November 18).  Jupiter won't be able to use his protective karma until he ends his weak retrograde November 24.  But then he won't be in the Dasa lineup, which will render him unequal to combating the malefics anyway.

Late season hurricanes should be expected, as well as a hurricane-like election season with its final voting date of November 8.

On October 17
Mars will enter Gemini, where he'll immediately jump on U.S. birthchart Mars at 00:41 degrees.  As much ruckus as this may cause during the election season, it won't be until Mars enters the U.S. Dasa lineup -- November 19 to January 19  Rahu/Saturn/Mars -- that mayhem ensues.  Consider here that both the great malefics -- Saturn and Mars -- will be active in the U.S. Dasas and in its transits then.

Finally, although not discussed because it's relatively harmless in transit, Rahu, the major Dasa planet, continues to steer the karmic ship through larger-than-life experiences that are unexpected and uncontrollable.  Today's forecast only discusses the addition of active transit and active subdasa planets Saturn and Mars that will whip U.S. chart into frenzy.
