March 28 No planetary disposition, regardless of how challenging or supportive, affects everyone's personal chart. Yet, those dispositions with great potency give such broad influence that they mold current events, imprinting everyone's' lives. This is certainly the case with the current Mercury retrograde --even the most reclusive I don't pay attention to the news people couldn't avoid the incessant media barrage and consequent personal discussions about the Shiavo feeding tube case. For those personally impacted, Subscribers have reported a wide range of experiences, from feeling apathetic to neighbor problems. One Subscriber in frustration told me he wanted a new birth chart as he perceived financial issues as unsolvable. I've personally been blocked for forecasting -- I started this Celestial Wheetl at 9 AM. And, my cat (Mercury) met her fate in the street. Expect, then, to have to deal with issues, personal and/or public, that arise during the next couple of weeks. Some suggestions: avoid/delay contracts and other complex business transactions, double-check your monthly bills for on-time payment, be patient with yourself and others and listen carefully to others and express your thoughts clearly and concisely. If you feel blocked or confused, take a break to clear your mind and then return to the task at hand. Adequate sleep and rest periods during the day are helpful to regain focus, as are meditation and other mentally grounding pursuits, such as yoga and massage. Mercury is calmed by the color green, a lush tropical environment and sandalwood -- incense or oil. Expect too that the media and government will (continue) to convulse on this life issue (and likely other religious-based topics as well), exaggerating its importance and ignoring other events. I note that today's New York Times finally had a front page article today on Iraq, At Least Ten Killed In Iraq As Concerns Mount About Unrest. Iraq, as previously predicted many times, is a mess, and the article is telling in stating, Negotiations to form a government continued Sunday but no progress was apparent. The message here is to pay attention to your own environment and the world as well. There are some upcoming further planetary dispositions that will aggravate this three week Mercury retrograde, which began March 20 and ends April 12. I recite these to give you a heads-up. 1. Mercury is already combust the Sun, and tomorrow (Tuesday) it crosses the Sun. Combustion is just what is says, a burning influence, which further impairs Mercury's communications. Tuesday is discordant Mars' day of the week, suggesting keeping your head down tomorrow. 2. On Sunday, April 3, the Moon passes Mars, stimulating impulse, which can be off target. Also on (or about) April 3, Mars will transit across the U.S. chart's Ketu, signifying terrorist violence. (This was explained in the February 22 In-depth Forecast, #61 Kama & Kendra -- Desire & Power.) 3. Venus has been and continues to be combust the Sun through April 8, when it crosses toxic Rahu. Venus is also strong in its exalted sign of Pisces. Venus' opposing strength and weakness causes relationship concerns, of course. Also, for some it amplifies compassion, but for others the Sun burns Venus's kindness and grace. 4. There will be a solar eclipse on Friday April 8. This is a hybrid eclipse, which means it will be total in some regions and partial in others. I don't know if and how this unusual quality will influence the astrological eclipse effects. The eclipse's blocking effect will be extended to Venus because of its position next to the Sun. In sum, these celestial events will aggravate Mercury retrograde effects on your personal charts, as well as events in the world. Keep in mind that knowledge is power. This Celestial Wheel gives you a planetary weather forecast you can use to avoid problematical activities, mitigate harms and/or at a minimum accept adverse karmas to learn from them. Today's Indian Ocean earthquake is a potent reminder of the world is not stable now.
In your personal chart, the solar eclipse may be uneventful, unless you have a planet(s) within one or two degrees of the eclipse point at 25 degrees Pisces. If this occurs, expect to experience some type of blockage or failure.
March 21 The Friday, March 21 Celestial Wheel reminded Subscribers again about the expectation Bush would apply religious beliefs in a bizarre fashion,
I brought this topic up again because of the impending Mercury and Saturn changes,
Certainly, Congress' convulsing over the Terri Shiavo case as a life issue to pass a law specific one person is a manifestation of these planetary energies. (I'm not voicing a moral opinion about the case, only commenting on how and why it has arisen.) Sorry, I didn't have the presence of mind to look at the U.S. chart, for it readily reveals this emotional/religious tempest.
I don't have a clear view ahead, for this Mercury retrograde has muddled my mind. However, it seems this moral issue will continue for the next few weeks, and other problems must arise -- at least until Mercury resumes forward motion April 12. I am most concerned about April 3 (or thereabouts), when Mars transits across birth chart Ketu, about which I stated in the February 21 In-depth Forecast, #61 Kama & Kendra -- Desire & Power, A terrorist event impacting wealth is indicated. There's also a total eclipse of the Sun in late Pisces on April 8 which will precipitate more disruption. Also, it's difficult to know what Saturn will bring beginning tomorrow, when it resumes its normally restrictive forward motion (after a long retrograde that began November 8, 2004). Negative economic results would be typical, and a breaking of relationships is also expected. The latter would tend to include groups at home, allies abroad and the new government in Iraq. Yet Saturn returning to forward motion will also stimulate Saturnian reality, organization and order. This may cause the Shiavo case to calm, but it could also allow autocratic Mideast governments to stifle democracy movements. As mentioned above, this Mercury retrograde has muddled my mind, and while everyone is affected according to their own charts, this Mercury retrograde is so unusually difficult that everyone's' lives must be disrupted in one way or another. Also, when we considered that karma includes the shared karma of a country, everyone is affected by the Shiavo debacle and ensuing events. Hopefully over the next few days a more cogent and clear view of these planet karmas will be possible. At the moment, this is a useful heads-up to you Subscribers to not allow yourself to get drawn into this D.C. drama and to use care and moderation in your personal lives.
March 18 In the U.S. planetary cycles Forecast, I focused on the first ten year Moon cycle in the 1880s that brought the height of the Gilded Age, which we're repeating in the current second Moon cycle. The Gilded Age is variously said to have included the 1990s as well, when the U.S. ran its seven year Mars cycle. Subscriber S.J. from California often picks up news items relating to my forecasting. Below is his yesterday e-mail pointing out that this concept is catching on,
Also in regard to S.J.'s e-mail, I participated in MoveOn.Org's Wednesday call-in blitz to Senators objecting to the Senate's proposed Nuclear Option. This would disallow filibusters on judicial nominations, allowing the Republican majority to ramrod through the judicial nominees Senator Schumer references in the above quote. MoveOn reports that over 28,000 calls were made, and I can tell you from personal experience that the phone lines for Arizona's Senators were busy most of the day. When I did get through, the staffers were clearly overwhelmed by this public protest. That is, the message got through. Although the most challenging Mars discord and violence (March 5 through 13) is over, Mars is transiting its exalted sign of Capricorn, where it fights the hardest. This seemed, then, to be a good time to exercise my spiritual citizenship. Although it was an uphill battle, I managed to meet the goal of convincing five Arizona people to call their Senators. Provocatively, I wasn't able to enlist any Arizona Subscribers, who by virtue of their interest would be the most likely to take action. Well, with Ketu sitting on my Ascendant (self) ruler Venus, I'm nearly invisible to others. In the February 21 In-depth Forecast, #61 Kama & Kendra -- Desire & Power, I suggested that G.W. Bush has a surfeit of Kama (desire), overbalancing his restricted Kendra (power), If you watch the news, you'll see more bluster and bluff from Bush than actual achievement. While there have been some Republican victories, such as the vote authorizing oil drilling in the Alaskan refuge, the all-important Social Security privatization is dead (as predicted), and other neoncon efforts have either failed or are in doubt. I also suggested in the Karma & Kendra Forecast that this Kama/Kendra over-optimism may result in ...an odd twist here... will heighten Bush's evangelicalism, amplifying his belief in being an instrument of God's will... adding a bizarre quality to his beliefs. This specific religious influence has not yet been reported in the media, but certainly Bush is excessively optimistic, which must relate to his religious beliefs, as these mold his intellect. Most amazing is his nominating divisive neoconservatives John Bolton as the U.N. Ambassador and Paul Wolfowitz to head the World Bank. I also noted yesterday's N. Y. Times' Maureen Dowd's quoted an impulsively foolish Bush statement, At the Gridiron (dinner in DC), Mr. Bush slyly joked that he had the "dangedest puppy" who would roll over on command - but only some of the time. "I renamed him 'John McCain.' " Although this is a little off-color, the Comedy Channel's Daily Show, which offers fake news that so often rings true, summed up Bush's optimism in a skit on Bush's balls -- that they are getting bigger and bigger, referring to his ballsy actions. The tag line is that, When Antony Scalia becomes Chief Justice, Bush's balls will have gotten so large that they would be visible from space. Subscriber L.M. from New Hampshire quipped, Maybe this is why he wanted a station on Mars?. When Mercury turns retrograde March 20 (Sunday), and Saturn turns forward March 22 (Tuesday), there must be an increase in Saturnian resistance coupled with communications problems for the next three weeks. Look debates in Congress and events in Iraq (and elsewhere) to degenerate into confusion and stalemates. There also may be government crackdowns on democratic expression and economic turbulence, especially regarding oil, which is now at $57 per barrel. All these will be Bush setbacks. I'll address this more specifically in an In-depth Forecast which follows tracking the effects of major planetary changes -- first discussed in the January 4 In-depth Forecast, #59 Winter/Spring Shifts Of The Major Planets. In closing, I reference the February 6 In-depth Forecast, #60 The First Baby-boomers, in which House Majority Leader, Tom Delay, was included as having the Rahu/Saturn Yoga. Delay's birth time is unknown, but looking at chart with just the signs, it appears he truly is in the midst of a battle to save himself, and the next few weeks may result in his stepping down.
PS Michael Jackson is guilty and will likely go to jail. I predicted this in the December 13, 2003 In-depth Forecast, #37 Vedic Vignettes. He's at greatest risk of a guilty verdict bringing imprisonment during a Mars subcycle from April 4 to June 1.
