The December 2010 Mars/Rahu Conjunction

Part 2

Preface

The November 25 Part 1 of this forecast identified:  (1) the Mars/Rahu conjunction as the fifth step down in the long term Millennium Contraction,  (2) Mars bringing losses in stocks and property,  (3) Mercury adding commerce in general to the harms, (4) anxieties and violences also in the U.S.,  (4) December 5 to 7 as sensitive dates,  (5) additional sensitive dates will occur later in the month and  (6) effects will extend into January.

This Part 2 predicts how commerce will be affected, calculates sensitive dates in December and January via calendars, suggests what to expect in January and comments on charts of Mideast nations.

Impacts Upon Commerce

It's naturally difficult to predict what part or parts of the economy will be adversely affected.  We do know that real estate has been, and continues to be, at the heart of the Millennium Contraction, and TARP saved the banks in September 2008 when the roof fell in -- literally.  This fall's mortgage documentation fraud scandal has fouled up the foreclosure process and caused mortgage bundle purchasers to ask for their money back -- squeezing the banks on both sides.  See, Report: Foreclosure Mess May Threaten Banks and Panel Warns of Nightmare Scenarios for Housing Crisis.  Adding fuel to this fire are major and multi-year investigations are finally bearing fruit, U.S. Sets 50 Bank Probes and U.S. in Vast Insider Trading Probe.

The bottom line, what simply cannot be swept under the rug any longer, is that the banks inflated the real estate balloon, and when it began bursting, homeowners, investors and the government took the hits.  However, prices remain inflated with 23% of mortgages under water (New Report Warns Of "Unprecedented Decline" In Home Values And No Stabilization In Q3), and the banks will be finally held accountable.  The players refuse to take any more hits, and the referees are finally calling the fouls.

Banks will likely fail under the pressures, for they don't have enough equity to cover the losses, and the investigations will add further pressures.  This would have, should have, and could have happened two years ago, except the Republican administration bailed out its Wall Street friends.  I don't pretend to know the ramifications of these failures, except that the sooner you lance a boil, the sooner the pressure is released and the wound can begin to heal.

Note this article about consumers pulling their money from the big banks December 7 fits, Join in on the World's Biggest Bank Run This December, and that is an early sensitive date in the below calendar.  December 7 is the Day Of Infamy, for those who recall historic dates.

I have the chart for Goldman Sachs going public May 4, 1999.  A quick look reveals problems with income, truth, investments, partnerships and litigations.

December Sensitive Dates

Below is a calendar for December with sensitive dates.  There's a literal blizzard of intense planetary karmas all month, some doubling-up, others overlapping.  Only the most intense are placed in the calendar, and these act more to illustrate the extent of the karmas than to identify specific dates for their actualizing events.  An analogy here is a ship in a storm -- heavy gusts, rain and waves throughout.  If the above prediction for bank failures targets the correct area, then December 5 to 24 will be the interval when those ships sink.

     1.  12/5-7  Sunday Mars approaching the U.S. chart Ascendant point.  Monday and Tuesday Moon conjunct Mars and Rahu.

     2.   12/10-11  Mars conjunct Rahu and Mercury begins retrograde.

     3.  12/13-14  Mercury crosses Mars and Mars aspects the Moon.

     4.  12/16  Mars aspects U.S. Venus.

     5.  12/19-20  Mars aspects U.S. Jupiter and Rahu

     6. 12/21  Lunar eclipse

     7.  12/23-24  Mars aspects Moon in U.S. chart's eighth house.

January Sensitive Dates

The new year brings much less strife, but the first half of the month will still be unsettled.  It may be that January 8, when Mars finally gets away from Rahu, the seas will calm.  However, until Mercury passes by Rahu January 14, risk remains.

     1. 1/4  Partial solar eclipse

     2.  1/8  Mars enters Capricorn.  This is the end of the Mars/Rahu conjunction.

     3.  1/14  Mercury  conjoins Rahu

Charts Of Other Nations

Economic crisis is not the only sensitive area.  Certainly, the Mideast continues to be a major point of contention, and I do have four reliable charts there.  Iraq's chart is a mess until at least April for running Rahu/Mars planetary cycles.  Lots of strife and violences.  Iran will have more challenges, especially with friends.  Israel will continue to struggle.  Nobody will be happy in Saudi Arabia, but not much will happen there.
